Love the amount of build option but the builds themselves feel a bit incomplete? While it explain the skills used and how to play the build there no actual build tree for how many points into each skill and there nothing on the all important paragon board that's for build progression past 50 (or is it just currently still embargo where you can't show it yet?) Thanks!
I think I agree with most of what he said in the video, but I think the necromancer is actually a good fit for people overwhelmed by everything on the screen - enemies, abilities, etc. Essentially, with all the minions you have, the enemies get distracted and you can then focus on other parts of the screen and not everything all at once, which make it easier to process.

As an adhd gamer who struggles with decisions, your concise well made/edited content really brings out the full extent of joy I can experience in gaming and eases a ton of the cognitive burden. I started playing on NYE! I’ve played all the Diablo games! I started way back in 95-96 I think on my buddies X Box and PC!! I am so in love with this game again! I stopped playing D3 in like 2019! Missed my hack n slash vibes!! I’m currently Level 53 and enjoying the quests and slaying the hordes of hell again!! Playing as a HotA Barbarian and absolutely F’n love it!! Fast paced and WICKED HIGH DAMAGE!! Especially if you can keep berserk and bonuses from weapon swapping!! Crazy fun playstyle!
Except for the part where he explicitly skipped over a build because it's "obviously not a meta thing" which isn't even true by the way. Support Barbs have always been meta and Diablo 4 will be no different.

Really bummed that people are so in love with guides on showing you what to play and what's best. Less than 10% of the gaming community plays to have fun and they all want to let people explore and trial-and-error the game for them (which is the biggest appeal to gaming).
What an absolute chad - i love this video. I fully agree, pick the class you like playstyle for. Tier lists before a game even launches is such a new wave of the metaplay that ruins a lot of good games. Oh man, another great video. However, I feel that the con "Less Aspect Slots" is a little misleading. They have the average number of slots, but the Barb and Rogue have extra ones as a pro. It's kind of like putting "no spirit boons", "no minions", or "no enchantments" as cons on the barb and rogue.
Having played extensively in the 2022 Xmas closed end game beta: The builds presented here are WT3 viable but things change as you progress on WT4. New builds turn viable. Druid with shockwave pulverize that focused around grizzly rage -> stacking up critical damage; was absolutely crazy. I think the L100 "final boss" on WT4 lasted ~2-3 seconds.
I have been an assassin lover since ragnarok online. I like fast, agile, and mechanical classes. I main deathblade in lost ark. I think rogue is the closest to an assassin class in diablo 4. I will go for it.
I am playing Sword and Board Classes in ARPGs. So there is ,by now, no reason to play D4 for me. I hope they add a Paladin or Crusader Class again so i can enjoy my playstyle too. Good Video, thanks for the upload.
I like the way you brief each class with variant builds/play style even with some niche types, e.g. support Bar. That helps me have a general idea about how one class will look like in endgame. Rogue will be my 1st choice for story walk-through and i'm still learning its build via all kinds of videos. One question on about 10:15, your energy nearly runs out then suddenly gets refilled, what is the skill triggers that? I don't see you spamming invigorating strike either. Thanks!
If I remember right, Rogue unlock special perks around 20 and unlock more later. One of the perks randomly marks an enemy, and attacking the marked enemy 10 times or killing the marked enemy refills your energy and reduces energy consumption for 3 seconds.
Nice video. I play melee sorcerer. Just drop a blizzard and then arc lash everything. It feels more like a brawler than a sorcerer, and I like that. Pretty cool you can have different play styles on same classes.
Great vid. I found Rogue to be the most fun during the beta, but I felt like I might not be skilled enough to take them far into end game. Think that is who I'll be going through the story with at least

I think between these 3 I wont really play too much of anything else. I might try some out if on gamepass, but I feel these 3 will take up the vast majority of my gaming time. Won't lie... I've been theory crafting pre-launch the "Tavern Brawler" Barbarian. Lots of built in CD reduction, focus on thorns/berserking while turning every arena into the greatest WWE fight. I'll have my gold belt.

In the first beta i had around 800 thorns on my barb and enemies would just touch you a d die immediately lol, sucks they nerfed it so much that no one will use it now
Ooof yea still cant decide between barb or druid. I love being a tanky frontliner so barb seems perfect but it seems like the barb does not have as much gameplay variety as the druid so they might get boring later on. Honestly I will probably eventually try out all the classes but its hard to decide which one to play first.
@@eggswithlegs318 druid is definitely more unique. But I decided to go with barb first because it looks like they have a stronger early game which will be nice for a first playthrough. But definitely will play druid next.
Never played a Diablo game, didn’t play the betas. I was going to start the game with rogue but after seeing this I’m not sure it would be good for me. I have a hard time making builds that aren’t straight forward. I’m attracted to rogue due to the mobility and archer ranged gameplay.
Pick the class that suits you the most. Don't be frightened by some hardcore youtube gamer. Play at your own pace and you might eventually get the hang of it.

@@ReconArmorial the game is not too hard on normal mode, pick whatever class you prefer, you'll be fine. Rogue is really not that difficult, a ranged rogue is probably easier than a melee one.
I am keen to try Necro but use minions masteries converted to skills to become a tanky Necro, I played this towards end of first beta and saw potential to convert minions. I liked using spark build Sorceress. But I am going Barbarian, I created an amazing thorns/bleed build on Beta that solo nearly everything, unlike thorns in D2, thorns works on ranged and spellcasters as well as melee. I found trap and grenade Rogue a lot of fun.

You can pick any class and do well. The Rogue is probably the hardest to master. Generally speaking the Sorc and Necro are considered the most casual friendly but the barbarian spin to win is sort of easymode later on

The good news is making alts is very easy because you can skip campaign, and unlocks from your main (horse, extra skill points etc) automatically go to your alts!
i want to play barbarian, as when barbarian is done right, it's my favorite class. they nailed it in world of warcraft. the warrior was my favorite class in that game by a wide margin. but i really found the barbarians in d2 and d3 kind of boring compared to the other classes. i wonder if i should play the barbarian first vs another class. does anyone have input on if barbarian feels awesome to play? or is it boring compared to other classes? i'm a full time working dad now, so my time is limited, and i probably only get to choose one class to play for time reasons. so i would love any input that anyone has!
I'm not new to ARPGs, but even then, starting the beta with a Druid before switching to a Rogue might have been a mistake lol. Might table them both and just start with a Sorceress tomorrow.
correction: the necro is absolutely not beginner friendly. the "early on" strength of necromancer only applies up to level 20-25. additionally, as mentioned, there are many more resources to manage than any other class - your health, minion health, your position, minion position, essence, corpses, minion count, and cooldowns. his kit is also much clunkier than others, requiring you to choose the right abilities for certain builds/situations. his lack of legendary support also limits the type of build options. other classes have the luxury of freedom and mobility. you can pick whatever you want and still be faster and deal more damage than the necro. the fact that necro is the weakest, slowest class in the game AND he was nerfed doesnt help any of this. the only way the necro could compete with any other class right now, in terms of damage, would be to give him a permanent artillery shrine.
Necros are boring in this game. Always look depressed, walk around like an old feeble dude, minions get wiped in higher difficulties and you have like 5 skills less than everyone else, the class specific ability is mid tier, you can play with two finger up until level 50 and suddenly 90% of your skillset is completely subpar. I'm sorry dude but clicking on a bloody pile of remains isn't complicated, i never get why people are like "Necro have another resource to manage" you mean they can click on dead enemies yeah that must be real hard, meanwhile the rogue in the corner is doing 4D chess in his min preparing himself for the boss to come. Necros are maybe the most failed class with barbarians, barbs are failed because come on dude that's just D3's barbarians with a couple of passives slapped on it.
Hey fextra, what was your opinion on minion survivability late game for necro? Keep hearing that the minions don't hold out endgame. Does focusing on minion survivability through paragon glyphs and nodes help them enough in keeping them alive?
When i made a sorcerer I had a decision my character looks like with the hairstyle with face hair i made Timothy Omundson the acter base off Cain from supernatural 😂
#1 tip is play your game! Figure out what you like not what these videos tell you. Been playing since Diablo 2 and it was always more fun messing around and making it up as you go

All i want to know sorceror has freeze shield. That means it can freeze things in a circle for 3 sec

Consuming Shadows passive. Each time you kill an enemy with Shadow Damage, you generate 10 Energy (30 when fully upgraded).

Important distinction: which classes are good on console and dont require accurate targeting
The game is fully gamepad optimized, using gampead on PC myself, keyboard doesnt even get any extra slots vs gamepad

Rogue keeps you at the edge of your seat. One mistake and you’re dead. But my God the damage it can do is insane

correction: the necro is absolutely not beginner friendly. the "early on" strength of necromancer only applies up to level 20-25. additionally, as mentioned, there are many more resources to manage than any other class - your health, minion health, your position, minion position, essence, corpses, minion count, and cooldowns. his kit is also much clunkier than others, requiring you to choose the right abilities for certain builds/situations. his lack of legendary support also limits the type of build options. other classes have the luxury of freedom and mobility. you can pick whatever you want and still be faster and deal more damage than the necro. the fact that necro is the weakest, slowest class in the game AND he was nerfed doesnt help any of this. the only way the necro could compete with any other class right now, in terms of damage, would be to give him a permanent artillery shrine.
Necros are boring in this game.
Always look depressed, walk around like an old feeble dude, minions get wiped in higher difficulties and you have like 5 skills less than everyone else, the class specific ability is mid tier, you can play with two finger up until level 50 and suddenly 90% of your skillset is completely subpar.
I'm sorry dude but clicking on a bloody pile of remains isn't complicated, i never get why people are like "Necro have another resource to manage" you mean they can click on dead enemies yeah that must be real hard, meanwhile the rogue in the corner is doing 4D chess in his min preparing himself for the boss to come.
Necros are maybe the most failed class with barbarians, barbs are failed because come on dude that's just D3's barbarians with a couple of passives slapped on it.

Hey fextra, what was your opinion on minion survivability late game for necro? Keep hearing that the minions don't hold out endgame. Does focusing on minion survivability through paragon glyphs and nodes help them enough in keeping them alive?

When i made a sorcerer I had a decision my character looks like with the hairstyle with face hair i made Timothy Omundson the acter base off Cain from supernatural 😂
I'm pretty sure when you're making that sorcerer you can make them look like Ozzy Osbourne too hahaha 😆

#1 tip is play your game! Figure out what you like not what these videos tell you. Been playing since Diablo 2 and it was always more fun messing around and making it up as you go
