King Solomon is the Old Testament “Teacher” to whom God gave great wisdom, wealth, power, and fame. Solomon spent most of his life in pursuit of knowledge, happiness and the meaning of life. He had the power, wealth, and time to pursue anything and everything in the world he wanted … AND HE DID. However, he did it all without God, without faith, and without the Word of God . . . and he failed miserably.
He turned his wisdom and wealth into an idol and was soon caught up in unbelievable rebellion and immorality. He squandered his life. He lived an utterly selfish, worldly life.
The New Testament Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ, teaches that everything you have and everything you are is a gift from God. God faithfully provides your DAILY BREAD: everything you need to support your family and life. Enjoy the gifts God has given to you! God your Heavenly Father has showered you with the good things you have --- Enjoy Them!
King Solomon was the wisest man to walk on earth; after squandering his life, he writes to teach us the proper way to live our lives as God's people. It's not complicated; in fact it's simple, you could say its “the simple life of faith:” Fear God Keep His Commandments And enjoy your life! Amen!
