  • OK; last one in this set I promise ! But it had to be done really! It will
Make more sense if you watch the previous two videos and my golden eagle training one( links below ) there truly are a lot of folk getting golden eagles who only have basic falconry understanding and that has the potential to end in disaster , let’s look at some key differences
FALCONRY: Harris’ hawk v Redtail hawk; a brief comparison
    • FALCONRY: Harris’ hawk...
FALCONRY: Harris Hawk versus Goshawk, a brief comparison
    • FALCONRY: Harris Hawk ...

Some great honest comments in this. Never take food from a bird of prey, should probably be tattooed on every new falconer. And it would probably save them ALOT of trouble.
The real issue is the there are fewer and fewer places that you can fly/hunt an eagle in the UK.
Lowland true eagle falconry is probably the toughest form of falconry, we have in the UK. Takes a huge effort to do it right.

despite that Harris hawks and golden eagles are adapted to very different geographies, but do they occasionally meet in the wild in the areas in between the woodlands of Meso America and the open dry landscapes of western North America?

Too much face time not enough bird time

Golden eagles had been used as important symbols for various cultures in central Asia and Europe for a very very long time

I've been following you for a while, and a couple of other quite 'dedicated' channels, and I knew, right off, that the only comparison to a Harris's Hawk is... oh, right, they fly, BUT, it's just very, very clear that being able to have the space and game, to properly fly an eagle, that is, as they say, "non-trivial"!
So, as you've made clear, one has to be very, very dedicated, AND, live close enough to good flying territory, or be able to get to good flying territory, where you are actually *ALLOWED* to fly your eagle.
    A very convincing video!!

Thanks for watching . The previous two were really to discuss the differences but this one with eagles was more because so many are getting them
With a fairly low understanding of the psychology of falconry birds and I do often hear the phrase ‘they’re just big hh’
