Baba Orlando really loved Folashade..he sang many lines about her, this album actually depicted his love life, 1987 in the dark days of IBB rule, I was in Primary 4/5 , but the song stuck with me and I love Orlando ever since then. Life is truly a school full of different experiences. Rest in peace Baba❤
100%. He never stops mentioning her name in most of his albums.. you hear Folashade, Shade etc.. the pretty lady (Folashade) was there for him while he was in Alagbon prison checking on him and the other wives.
This version of Folashade mi is a heart touching clip, I'm weeping already !!!! Ki Olohun oba ma da oro wa ru Amin.... Cos i always put myself into another person's shoes...

Rest on in peace Baba Kenerry all your albums are evergreen and will remain so especially this one that brings tears to one's eyes when listening to your life experience. May God Almighty rest your soul. I saw him Awa Ijebu many years ago he was indeed an icon. No note in hand the music flows naturally.
The issue was that never procrastinate, do not leave what you supposed to do today till tomorrow, tomorrow might be too late " goes an old adage. This succinctly described my plan to do a document on Baba Orlando life and music. But , something took me out of the country which hindered all plans for the project. Intact, I have been a silent of Baba's music since I was a young school leaver in the 60's. And I still love his music till date , and i will love his music till I breadth my last.. RIP Baba Kennedy. You lived a fulfilled life socially, economically and family wise. What else does a my stand for ? Again, i pray you sleep well in the bosom of your God !!!
One of the best ever...they dont make them like this again. To continue to live in the hearts of those who cherish you is never to die...Baba, we will never forget you..Adieu
Tajudeen Rahmon I so much love this album. I still remember this cover at the front of the plate, while I was a very little child. I knew this side one all through though some Owo words made it difficult. My dad was a gospel music lover cos we grew up in a Christian home, but he must buy Orlando Owoh. As a child, I sometimes wonder the correlation but I loved the combo
Kai! Just listening to this particular track just brought memories.. I could see my Mum sitting around the tape. it was a Saturday morning.. Oh I m seeing our old street in zaria now..GOD! The power of music.
It was around 1987/88, I was in Primary 4 or 5 that time. I love the song so much especially knowing he was struggling with a serious narcotic case as a result of his earlier album on Late Dele Giwa. So I fell in love with him knowing he was a social crusader.
