I can't make the box part. I connected them pretty easily, but when I put In the final part, the whole bottom went down an when I tried to push it up so it would be flat, the whole thing got wrinkled.
Hello, I love this model and Im about to make it for a second time but I want to know the dimensions of it so I can know if the origami model Im putting insiden of it will fit. Unfortunately, I gave my other one away so I cant do my own measurements.
Is there a way to make it so that the sides are higher and the box not so flat? I guess it could be difficult since it is made from same size square pieces of paper..
The screen transition at 6:08 is a real bummer & excludes visual information I felt was necessary to pull this thing together without too much hitching.
Thanks for the video. But the box portion is wrong. The flower pattern should not be on the outside. That makes the box unstable. The alignment after making the eight pieces should be the reverse, so that the flower goes inside the box.
The boxes I made are not unstable. Wether the flower should be inside or outside.... I prefer it on the outside, because I like that side better (more interesting) than the other side.

It is very slippery in the beginning, so clips are helpfull :)
I Made it :D it looks really nice... Took Me Hours to find a tutorial that shows how to make this origami item...and I finally made it thanks a lot!
