I’ve always had more respect for cobi than other lego ‘knockoffs’ because they’ve focused on a theme that lego have said they will not produce kits for, and their kits are mostly really good.
I think Cobi actually gave us the F-14D, even though it wasn't featured in Top Gun. No complaints here. You can tell by the dual optical/IR sensor below the nose, and by the LED stripes on the fuselage and wingtips.
I'm glad you showed the spare parts. I saw the two 1x1 plates with a clip at the end and got worried I missed a step. I looked through the instructions and couldn't find where they went.
The new catalogue video 2021/2 from Cobi is available. There is a new Renault R35, a Sd-KFZ 251 Halftrack, a few Africa Corps vehicles and Leopard 2A5. But I did not see a KV 1.
It's surprising how a LEGO Knockoff can make better Plane Sets than LEGO themselves. LEGO should seriously learn from COBI and produce detailed LEGO Planes, like the 31039 Air Race Jet of 2015. Well, LEGO should probably focus more about Passenger Planes, but STILL!
Small pet peeve rather insignificant and I love this set, but if this is the Alpha model of the tomcat it's engine exhaust nozzle should be silver because it uses the Pratt and Whitney tf-30 engine

I just finished mine. I had to fix the figs to the seats with blu-tac to keep them from pushing up against the canopy keeping it open. I also don't like the "Phoenixes". I'll probably use two of them as Sidewinders and create better Phoenix models. The model was also obviously not an F-14A but an F-14D because of the TCS+IRST combo under the nose. The engine nozzles look more like F-110 rather than TF-30. [EDIT] I actually ended up taking off the "Phoenixes" and using two of them as Sidewinders for stations 1A/8A. This actually more closely reflects the loadout Maverick had in the final dogfight; he only had four missiles, Phoenixes would've been too long range for such a close range dogfight and in the movie is shown launches of Sidewinders and Sparrows.
here's how you get the wings to fully extend, take a nail clipper, and take the stud off the little bracket infront of the wing that blocks it, just the stud and nothing else, it's actually the perfect angle
Man i'm torn here, this thing looks just awesome, and i would love to have it, but then again, i really really dislike Lego clones, i will say, Cobi is way better than most of em'
3:53 not true, you can pull it on the other side and it would go in, also on 5:50 you can use silver sharpie to make the landing gear, bombs, missiles & arrest or hook to make it more realistic.

Is a nice set but the wing is very problematic I tried to make wing swing more forward and turned out really well
