Wow the Mandrakes being used for fertility was a good connection! I learned a few things watching this, and glad to know I was on the right track with my note taking. I totally forgot about Jacobs sin & the connection to Labans sin; them both being tricksters. Thank you so much! I hope you never stop these Bible studies. I’m on a journey to read the whole Bible

Very interesting about all the deception taking place between Jacob and Laban and also the competition between Rachel and Leah! It's fascinating to see these human traits play out time and time again. Thank you for sharing so much insight into this chapter.
Interestingly enough, the word used for divination in this chapter is the same word used for the serpent in the beginning. נָחַשׁ nâchash, naw-khash'; a primitive root; properly, to hiss, i.e. whisper a (magic) spell; generally, to prognosticate:-× certainly, divine, enchanter, (use) × enchantment, learn by experience, × indeed, diligently observe.

So much deception and scheming😮 and its the whole family too. God id truly merciful and its oroof God will use you for good even if you are flawed.
