You're right. When he talks about sitting at the piano or standing he means motionless in awkward positions. Catatonic schizophrenia. You can literally pose people with this and they will just stay that way. There are plenty of old photos and videos of early treatment of this condition. Even though he's probably heavily medicated you can see the internal struggle he's going through in his mind. Thinking of how to word his answers and organize the words that hes most likely listening to voices his head.

His defending army was much smaller than the Turkish invading force so he did those types of things to creat fear and terror this evening the odds a bit it wasn't cause he was bloodthirsty, it was to defend and secure his countries existence.
