That down 2 combo into death roll brutality is one of the coolest combos in Mk1. reptils at a high kevel is fun to watch.
Fujin in MK11 taught me a lesson. Characters with that much depth take time to develop.

I feel you on takeda, ive seen lists have him as the worst character in the game and in like where??!?! Im getting 2 touched by every takeda I play. Also i think Nitara is top 2 right now and people have her 6 - 10. Im getting hit for 650 by Nitara and feel like i cant let go of block ever.
This is 100% facts. Nitara is better than Johnny. Johnny has fast buttons and more mix but nitara has faster movement so the buttons mean less. Her pressure is legit pull screen where Johnny has to get close.
I wouldn't say top 2 but she's definitely up there, you can't place someone up in the top spots off of damage alone, her buttons are bad, you just get unlucky and get clipped because you get careless, she's got a tonne of gimmicks but if you're defence is tight she can't really do shit.
Low tier my ass. Ppl run they mouth too soon and all it takes is someone with reputation to make a bad assessment of a character and all the lames follow behind calling it gospel
He is low tier he did get better cause of the buffs but he is still to punishable to many gaps to slow he just has a lot of decent match ups bc of his range

I think Takeda is fine when you use someone like Sektor/Lao/Sonya fro nuetral pressure, since they cover his gaps. Maybe the only buff he could use would be to make his S43 plus 2 on block, just to give him a little pressure, but is balanced since the S4 is a high.
And I'd kinda like Reptile's invis animation to be a lil faster to make his invis combos easier, but that's just a skill issue

At first i was suprised at takeda/sektor giving bee the work, then I saw it was Roethor, that biy is cracked!
I knew after the first week that people were just talking shit. Then other people came out and showed his true potential. He’s absolutely ridiculous 🙄
He has amazing damage yes but his defence is booty cheeks nearly every character can punish him if you press a button while blocking I know this because I'm a havik and Shao main 😅

People seem to forget that being low tier in a modern fighting game is comparable to the worst dish at a five star restaurant. Also I agree takeda is heavily downplayed, he’s got his gaps but his strike throw mix coupled with his range are pretty good.
Everyone was super hyped about Takeda...now, very few play him lol
I have been saying this from the get go. Everybody and their momma wanna say this character is trash and needs major buffs. Smh. Including pros. But I honestly believe they just want to play TK how they want him to play. Instead of figuring the character out.
For instance. I'm a Kitana main.... I would loooove for her to have the same kind of mix that Mileena has or like some of the other characters. But that's not who she is.
And if you notice Kitana mains rarely complain about her because we adapt to her play style. And we do it well.
TK only needs the proper Kameo that's it. If he gets any buffs that's truly a bonus. But based on what I'm seeing here it's exactly like I called it from the beginning. He's good. Just not what people were expecting.
Not gonna lie, Takeda is a marvel to watch.
Funny thing, he is having the same issue as pre-patch Scorp. Like prepatch Scorp, just low block everything, upblock the end of strings, a pre-patch death on block Scorp b3 ( which is similar to the useless Takeda's f2, that cant combo into anything and is a high ) and all unsafe specials. But both characters can dump damage nonetheless. Right now, he just needs ironing in his gaps, and i have no idea why his 2,1,2 ender can be upblocked. Whenever Takeda lets loose b2, he is at everyone's mercy, due to armoured reversals.
OH AND HIS REKKA, most convoluted and redundant move. Most cases, ppl find a way to punish it. Plus first rekka is a high :/

I think he's downplayed because he genuinely was struggling before the low kunai and people are adjusting. also he's a pretty complex character so people are still figuring him out

@@luigiwiiUU the channel is currently known for the highest level play you can find of Reptile. I don't downplay Reptile. He's strong. I agree with most tier lists I've seen that generally place him in the 15-20 range. Now tell me where the downplay is.
I mean… 15-20 is mid to low mid tier in a roster currently only at 29 characters overall. He’s definitely closer to 10-15 range now with all the buffs
Even thinking of placing reptile in top 10 is insane 😂 but depending on someones main & this match up I could see why someone would say top 15
@@BK_PK it’s not though. Reptile is constantly forcing opponents to guess on knockdown and can easily switch from strike throw to whiff punishes by full comboing off sweep. Very few characters in the game can do that and none except Smoke get the same level of mix he does in his base kit
@cluke_1158 literally the whole cast will force you to guess on wake up and damn near the whole roaster has strike throw game. Reptile doesn’t even have any mix ups and his damage is mid. The sweep combos are nice (mavado) force ball conversions (mavado)
Nowhere near as downplayed as reptile.

Man you complaining how good Takeda is and you still don’t admit your character is extremely top tier. Listen your good but you are waxing a lot of good players because reptile and mavado make it extremely hard to play. You spam 3 moves and if no one guess right you rattle off 390-400 damage. It’s the you get 1 hit and mavado turns it into a major combo every time. But yes a lot of characters do. But reptile is tough in the right hands and you have proven that. Don’t act like you have to play harder than others though
Bruh tekada is same as reptile, they both can be considered high mid tier in the right hands... like u said "in the right hands" , tekada has 350-400 meterless just like scorpion
