What I like about Pablo's song writing aside from the story and emotions is the poetry. As a Filipino myself, he gave me a renewed appreciation to Filipino or Tagalog language because he uses it so well. ❤ We use tagalog in everyday conversations but Pablo has better way in using the language which make it sounds amazing.

Drowning in the water was written when Pablo was 14 years old. That’s 15 years ago 😅. It was in his mind to give the song to others, just like Anino, which he gave to stell. He said he has matured mentally and vocally that song does not fit to his genre at all. But fans fussed about it. Those unreleased songs were in his soundcloud. Drowning in the water is almost everyones fave. So yeah we won and it was included to his album 😊
Pablo is definitely a genius. His writing is truly intense and real. For the longest time I stopped listening to OPM, I was tired of the typical sad tone high pitch OPM songs. I have been living outside the Philippines for 30 years and only when I started listening to SB19 Songs that I started Filipino music again. Thank you Pablo and SB19 for bringing us back to our country with all these beautiful songs you guys are creating. You don’t even know how much impact and inspiration your songs and presence to us immigrants in any country. These songs makes you feel “home” again.
La luna talks about his duality. The insecure side and the alpha wolf side. Presyon - his alpha wolf spits Wala - his insecure side weeps. Boy who cried wolf - alpha wolf is conforting his insecure side.
The Kumunoy before its official released was more dark, frustrated, and still in the quicksand. When we heard it again from Pagtatag tour, still unreleased, Pablo change some lyrics to make it hopeful, but still the beat and sound was hurtful. When Kumunoy released officially. It is now more hopeful, lyrics and sound wise. I guess Pablo is now on his positive side and happy and very hopeful for the future I love both old and new Kumunoy.
the Wolf is a misunderstood animal. it is the animal that dont eat carcasse nor go to carnal relationship with mother or siblings. it reproduce but outside of clan and when spouse dies it will fall into mourning. it cares for its mother all his life. the wolf is more human sometimes than humans....

Re TBWCW: at Pablo's UNA tour yesterday (album tour), he said that it's the boy talking/ singing to the wolf. He's actually put a twist on the fable and shows the boy empathizing with the town monster - the wolf.

Though Kumunoy's official translation says quicksand, I think it's more akin to bog or swamp. While both works pretty much the same there's some differences. Quicksand is like dry and loose. Bogs are like sticky and muddy. You can find it in dark and constantly wet areas. Another term is probably quagmire. And I think that fits the theme and imagery of the album than quicksand. Even the lyric video shows something swampy, wet and dark.
There's one video in TikTok explaining why Pablo decided to put Breathe as his outro in his ALON Album. The 'Breathe' has Alpha waves or rhythm that helps the mind to relax, I think Pablo put that after the emotional songs to serve as breather song

During Pablo's live an hour before release of Alon, Pablo suggested to listen to it in proper sequence to understand the whole concept. Should be La Luna, Presyon, Wala, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, Kumunoy, Kelan, Drowning in the Water, and lastly Breathe (Outro). A lot of people did not understand Breathe. For me, its Pablo wanting us to breathe and release that build-up and waves of emotions after listening to his songs.
