Isn’t that something that all those big name actors turned down the lead role in “Dirty Harry.” I can’t imagine anyone playing that role better than Clint Eastwood did.
Tell me if you can imagine this. In true grit, the producer wanted John Wayne to play Rooster Cogburn from the beginning but, if he couldn't sign on, he was considering Walter Matthau or Robert Mitchum.
