I discovered Angelina when she was 9 after I saw her on Lillhammer. After investigating I found her Norways Got Talent winning performances and that was it. I watched her every day, finding everything available. I could not have done this if I had been able to predict her. Infinitely versatile you never know how she will adapt the colour texture of her voice to suit a songs emotion. Sometimes her covers seem almost a re-imagining of the song. Michael Jacksons Jazzy BILLY JEAN, or this. It has kept her fans on the edge of their seats. So you have dipped your toe in the pool. If you do not go through a substantial chunk of her back catalogue you will never understand what she is capable of, ...everything from EDM with TRXD 'ABOVE THE WATER' and jazz standards like FEELING GOOD, and ITS A MANS WORLD, to country like Mileys NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART. I completely agree with you that nobody but Angelina could have pulled this off. I've heard "Rhapsody" thousands of times since it came out in '75 and I love it, but I was so spellbound by Angelina's rendition when I first heard it that I pretty much couldn't breathe. You guys clearly felt it, too, which is always so nice to see. Once you get into her catalog, you'll see that you were correct about the Sinatra thing. It's not easy to take a familiar and iconic song and find a new arrangement for it that moves people to tears and brings an entire audience to its feet. Angelina has done this with minimal instruction. Unbelievable! The NGT performances are amazing and show incredible growth, but don't forget to visit current Angelina. Her new original single, Love Don't Let Me Go, is out. She also appeared recently on Germany's Next Top Model singing several songs, including amazing covers of the Amy Winehouse hit Valerie and Rihanna's Love On The Brain, both of which are straight fire.

Angie, her mom Sara and grandma Mery made that outfit she's wearing from silkscreen patterns of her grandma's art work back in Norway when she was 12-13. If you go back go to when she was 6 in a sound booth at her school in Norway. She's covering in 1 take "I who have nothing" made famous by Tom Jones and also Sherly Bassey. Get the one with English subs. So you can see what the sound tech and Angie say to each other afterwards on her 1st take. It's amazing that she's only 6 singing in English while still learning her native language Norwegian and it's grammar. Than when you do NGT do them individually or you'll miss what the judges say. Angelina would not sign the AGT record label contract and was therefore "voted" off the show. During NGT, she was the best 7 year old vocalist on the planet. During AGT, she was the best 13 year old vocalist on the planet. Now, at 17, she is the best vocalist on the planet at any age.
That is probably the best decision of her career, the AGT contracts are so restrictive and take 98% of their earnings for the record company, they would have used her up and tossed her aside after wearing her down. The shows are great for getting noticed but winning them can do more harm than good. She did great getting signed at 14 and having a clause in there not to promote her until after she finishes school. Now she has those in the world that haven't heard of her yet, will.

@@Arlene_G I can't speak as to whether or not Angelina refused to sign the contract, but Liliac also appeared on AGT and to continue on the show they were asked to sign a contract, they spoke in great detail on a video about how restrictive the contract was and how much they would lose, they would only get 1% of what was earned the rest would go to AGT, so they pulled out of the show. Their lawyer told then not to sign it so they didn't. If that is the same contract that was presented to Angelina then I can easily imagine her or her manager refusing to sign, whether she did or not is not something I can't say. But that is my take on things. I do not know if Jeffrey is speaking facts or hearsay, but it is a real possibility.

At this point in her life she is 6 foot tall at 13. Someone will tell you the story behind performing san shoes. Her performance and voice starts to really take off when she is ten years old and gets more mature with every month of her development.
Nice, comfortable reaction. This particular file is the most often viewed of her per performance. There are others that included the golden buzzer and all the judges coming on stage to greet her. Listen for Simon tell her, "I don't think you know how good you are". By the way, she made the comment to her parents that she wanted to sing for Simon after watching, at age three, some talent show he was judging. I doubt it's a driving force in her life, but it was always in the back of her mind.
Angelina has always had an amazing lower register as a child & by her early teenage years (like in this) it was refined, resonant & absolutely beautiful. but now at 17, it just makes me cry its so friggin good. She has a beautiful & amazing higher register, as well, but there are many wonderful singers of today that have amazing high notes, but Angelina's low notes are unmatched by any other female singers I know of. I know this is your second listen to her but let me take this opportunity to formally say, "Welcome to the wonderful world of Angelina Jordan!" The journey you are about to go on is something you cannot believe in your wildest dreams. Her version of Bohemian Rhapsody is without question a true MASTERPIECE. The remaining members of Queen loved it and they said Freddie would have loved it, too. Definitely go to Norway's Got Talent. She sang 4 songs and you can go to separate video's of each one or go to a video which shows you all 4 appearances including the final results segment (it's about 11 minutes). You guys can skip all over the place, age is not a factor. Her physical age whatever it is does not encompass what she is inside. People in the industry were saying she was exhibiting the characteristics of being an artistic genius as early as 9 years old. And, when you can put the musical praises off to the side (if you can do that!) you will find out what a wonderful, kind, caring and loving human being she is. She gave her shoes away to a 7 year old homeless girl who she happened to meet by chance when she was 6 years old and was so moved by the fact the girl didn't own a pair of shoes, well, without going into a lot of detail (which I'm sure you will find out) she has dedicated herself to performing barefoot in public so that she will never forget that girl and always remember there are children in the world who don't own shoes and she will continue to sing barefoot until all the children in the world can own their own shoes. Why do I think, in the years to come, Angelina will be instrumental in helping fulfill her dream of aiding the unfortunate in our world. She donated her winnings in Norway's Got Talent to children's charities and has helped raise millions of dollars for children's causes. If you are, indeed, Mr. and Mrs. McKnight, Mr. McKnight, when you folded your arms I knew both of your arms were covered with goosebumps and Mrs. McKnight, although a touch apprehensive going into the song you quickly realized (like, suddenly!) you were in for something you knew was going to be very special. "Welcome aboard, both of you, on her journey which is just on the verge of shifting gears." She has been well protected while going to school and her secondary schooling is finishing up this spring and her career is getting a big boost with a new album coming out later this year probably to be followed by a world tour of sorts. Because of her limited exposure up to now many people have not discovered her yet but that will all change. Eventually (sooner than later) everyone in the world will know who Angelina Jordan is.
I first saw this video the day after it aired on TV. I used to listen to it about 500 times a month , and still got shivers down my spine. Now i only listen to it about 150 times a month, but that's only cause i have to listen to all her other songs in between..
If you think she was good here, you better prepare yourself for her getting even better because that's exactly what she has done. Listen to one of her more recent covers, performances, or one of her originals. Be sitting down when you do or else be ready to fall down and pick yourself up off the floor.

I discovered Angelina when she was 9 after I saw her on Lillhammer. After investigating I found her Norways Got Talent winning performances and that was it. I watched her every day, finding everything available. I could not have done this if I had been able to predict her. Infinitely versatile you never know how she will adapt the colour texture of her voice to suit a songs emotion. Sometimes her covers seem almost a re-imagining of the song. Michael Jacksons Jazzy BILLY JEAN, or this. It has kept her fans on the edge of their seats. So you have dipped your toe in the pool. If you do not go through a substantial chunk of her back catalogue you will never understand what she is capable of, ...everything from EDM with TRXD 'ABOVE THE WATER' and jazz standards like FEELING GOOD, and ITS A MANS WORLD, to country like Mileys NOTHING BREAKS LIKE A HEART. She did get Heidi Klum's golden buzzer. I still get total body chills the moment she sings the first bars of the song and they continue throughout while I choke up. Still. After hearing it a couple hundred times. She is a master at zeroing in to the essence of the story and transmitting the truth of it in a very compassionate way. I completely agree with you that nobody but Angelina could have pulled this off. I've heard "Rhapsody" thousands of times since it came out in '75 and I love it, but I was so spellbound by Angelina's rendition when I first heard it that I pretty much couldn't breathe. You guys clearly felt it, too, which is always so nice to see. Once you get into her catalog, you'll see that you were correct about the Sinatra thing. It's not easy to take a familiar and iconic song and find a new arrangement for it that moves people to tears and brings an entire audience to its feet. Angelina has done this with minimal instruction. Unbelievable! The NGT performances are amazing and show incredible growth, but don't forget to visit current Angelina. Her new original single, Love Don't Let Me Go, is out. Hi you 2 👋. That was an amazing reaction to 13 Angelina. Angie, her mom Sara and grandma Mery made that outfit she's wearing from silkscreen patterns of her grandma's art work back in Norway when she was 12-13. If you go back go to when she was 6 in a sound booth at her school in Norway. She's covering in 1 take "I who have nothing" made famous by Tom Jones and also Sherly Bassey. Get the one with English subs. So you can see what the sound tech and Angie say to each other afterwards on her 1st take. It's amazing that she's only 6 singing in English while still learning her native language Norwegian and it's grammar. Than when you do NGT do them individually or you'll miss what the judges say. Angelina would not sign the AGT record label contract and was therefore "voted" off the show. During NGT, she was the best 7 year old vocalist on the planet. During AGT, she was the best 13 year old vocalist on the planet. Now, at 17, she is the best vocalist on the planet at any age.
That is probably the best decision of her career, the AGT contracts are so restrictive and take 98% of their earnings for the record company, they would have used her up and tossed her aside after wearing her down. The shows are great for getting noticed but winning them can do more harm than good. She did great getting signed at 14 and having a clause in there not to promote her until after she finishes school. Now she has those in the world that haven't heard of her yet, will.

@@Arlene_G I can't speak as to whether or not Angelina refused to sign the contract, but Liliac also appeared on AGT and to continue on the show they were asked to sign a contract, they spoke in great detail on a video about how restrictive the contract was and how much they would lose, they would only get 1% of what was earned the rest would go to AGT, so they pulled out of the show. Their lawyer told then not to sign it so they didn't. If that is the same contract that was presented to Angelina then I can easily imagine her or her manager refusing to sign, whether she did or not is not something I can't say. But that is my take on things. I do not know if Jeffrey is speaking facts or hearsay, but it is a real possibility.

Nice, comfortable reaction. This particular file is the most often viewed of her per performance. There are others that included the golden buzzer and all the judges coming on stage to greet her. Listen for Simon tell her, "I don't think you know how good you are". By the way, she made the comment to her parents that she wanted to sing for Simon after watching, at age three, some talent show he was judging. I doubt it's a driving force in her life, but it was always in the back of her mind.
Angelina has always had an amazing lower register as a child & by her early teenage years (like in this) it was refined, resonant & absolutely beautiful. but now at 17, it just makes me cry its so friggin good. She has a beautiful & amazing higher register, as well, but there are many wonderful singers of today that have amazing high notes, but Angelina's low notes are unmatched by any other female singers I know of. Check out her new original single, Love Don't Let Me Go, where she sings about "love" as a concept, not about a lost lover. I know this is your second listen to her but let me take this opportunity to formally say, "Welcome to the wonderful world of Angelina Jordan!" The journey you are about to go on is something you cannot believe in your wildest dreams. Her version of Bohemian Rhapsody is without question a true MASTERPIECE. The remaining members of Queen loved it and they said Freddie would have loved it, too. Definitely go to Norway's Got Talent. She sang 4 songs and you can go to separate video's of each one or go to a video which shows you all 4 appearances including the final results segment (it's about 11 minutes). You guys can skip all over the place, age is not a factor. Her physical age whatever it is does not encompass what she is inside. People in the industry were saying she was exhibiting the characteristics of being an artistic genius as early as 9 years old. And, when you can put the musical praises off to the side (if you can do that!) you will find out what a wonderful, kind, caring and loving human being she is. She gave her shoes away to a 7 year old homeless girl who she happened to meet by chance when she was 6 years old and was so moved by the fact the girl didn't own a pair of shoes, well, without going into a lot of detail (which I'm sure you will find out) she has dedicated herself to performing barefoot in public so that she will never forget that girl and always remember there are children in the world who don't own shoes and she will continue to sing barefoot until all the children in the world can own their own shoes. Why do I think, in the years to come, Angelina will be instrumental in helping fulfill her dream of aiding the unfortunate in our world. She donated her winnings in Norway's Got Talent to children's charities and has helped raise millions of dollars for children's causes. If you are, indeed, Mr. and Mrs. McKnight, Mr. McKnight, when you folded your arms I knew both of your arms were covered with goosebumps and Mrs. McKnight, although a touch apprehensive going into the song you quickly realized (like, suddenly!) you were in for something you knew was going to be very special. "Welcome aboard, both of you, on her journey which is just on the verge of shifting gears." She has been well protected while going to school and her secondary schooling is finishing up this spring and her career is getting a big boost with a new album coming out later this year probably to be followed by a world tour of sorts. Because of her limited exposure up to now many people have not discovered her yet but that will all change. Eventually (sooner than later) everyone in the world will know who Angelina Jordan is.
