Rand Paul is absolutely correct. Americans need to learn their history as it pertains to both domestic policy and foreign policy. Once people know the real history of America is foreign policy over the last 100 years or so, everybody will shut their trap because they’ll see the futility and what is going on in all of these countries we’re constantly invading. Being over there, in the way we were until recently, IS TAKING CARE OF OUR COUNTRY. OK, we should not have been there in the first place. I agree, and we should stay out of the regime change business internationally. Having said that, we were there with a limited Special Ops team and that presence was protecting not only the Kurds and others in the region, but our nation as well. Rand Paul is absolutely correct. Americans need to learn their history as it pertains to both domestic policy and foreign policy. Once people know the real history of America is foreign policy over the last 100 years or so, everybody will shut their trap because they’ll see the futility and what is going on in all of these countries we’re constantly invading. It is time to pull out of the majority of these countries, let those regions handle their stuff, and let us take care of our country and our region. We can’t afford these wars anymore and we can’t afford the loss of life. It is time to pull out.
Being over there, in the way we were until recently, IS TAKING CARE OF OUR COUNTRY. OK, we should not have been there in the first place. I agree, and we should stay out of the regime change business internationally. Having said that, we were there with a limited Special Ops team and that presence was protecting not only the Kurds and others in the region, but our nation as well.
We know what happens when we let that area fester without any eyes and ears on the ground. We know that the casualties and violence from these conflicts are not limited to other places - 9/11 should have taught us that. We have to work with other nations or other groups sometimes to better protect ourselves. And that is what was going on until we ended it.
