The father should have told Carmin about her being a foster/adopted child years ago and gotten her behavior under control even if it required getting her forcibly treated.
Carmin would be arrested for her actions and I'm betting on her having something to do with it. All she wants is the house and the inheritance for herself. Karma has something special for her
Why didn’t “dad” (Christopher) set Carmin straight in the first place? Her attitude sucked. Wedding? Luke, I am not your father. Nooo! But why is Luke being kicked out? Well, he should be living on his own by now. Hmm, I wonder how long dad and mom were married? About look! You mean Luke?

So Jasmine and her brother Luke are orphans. Wow, she's finally has seen the light, so much selfishness from her.
Why kick out the son he didn't have anything to do with carmin's behavior
The son was taking over the company, not really kicked out. The dad needed to get rid of Carmin and her mouth.
Carmin grew up to be a very entitled child, which was highlighted brilliantly in this story. The parents are also to blame, for never putting in boundaries. If they had been more directive and getting Carmin to work out in the real world, life would have been better for her. Throwing her onto the streets is not an option, as it destroys and makes Carmin worse. The parents needed to take some responsibility. Good story.
People like Carmin don't learn, no matter what parents do or say. I have a cousin - five kids, and one of them is a "Carmin". Screams and yells "It isn't fair!" when the 16 yr old "got" a new car. It didn't matter how many times her parents said "Your sister has been working since she was old enough to mow lawns and has saved every penny so she could BUY HERSELF a car." Nope. "YOU have to buy ME a car!" (They didn't. They couldn't even afford the one vehicle they owned and their eldest took over the payments but let them drive it.) Another child would buy himself dinner with his friends and she would scream and yell because "You gave him money to go out but you won't buy me a LV purse?" No, he works at KFC AND McDs and helps Old Mr. Smith down the street with chores and earns money. Get a job! "IT ISN'T FAIR!" Over and over. Her sister is now a lawyer and "It isn't FAIR that SHE gets to be a lawyer and I can't even get a job!" Four kids are hard working - and then there is our family's "Carmin".
It's not a good story though. it's inhumane.

There have been people who actually laugh and chuckle. Hearing villain characters who do that and go "hm"/"hmph" gives off an annoying air of smug superiority, which is fitting.
Besides, you would have hated it about half a year or so ago when they actually read out "L-O-L" or "lol" in real time.
So, please be grateful for improvements.

Nobody deserves to live under a bridge. Unless she had something with the mother's untimely death, the father should have given her some money in order for the daughter to find an alternative housing arrangement.
Please learn prepositional pronouns, such as "for my mom and me", not "for my mom and I."
