    I built mine inside a small flashlight reflector, giving the LEDs a wider angle of disbursement, then I just lay the phone/tablet on the coffee table and just touch the controls, I don't need to point it directly at the TV.

      @prayerraintribe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where can I find your version

    • @ZargonUSA
      @ZargonUSA 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@prayerraintribe I didn't video it, all I did was to get a small flashlight reflector small enough to house the 2 IR-LED's, then used tape to hold it in place.
      Build the item shown first, then place the reflector over the LED's, then tape everything to the reflector leaving the jack exposed and long enough to plug into the cellphone/tablet, then when the tablet/cellphone is laid on the table, the reflector's edge tilts the LED's upward, so you don't need to directly point it at the TV.
      Being the couch potato I am, I just reach over to the coffee table and just touch the controls on the tablet, all I want now is a house robot to bring in my beer and dinner lol

  • @mrpat2563

    If your phone doesn't have a headphone jack, you might be able to use a Bluetooth headphone, take off the one of the ear piece and connect the infrared LEDs, I've not tried it but it could work and if it works you could place the Bluetooth near the TV or your device and you won't even need to point it should works from a longer distance and through walls!
    It's all about experimentation.

      Just had a thought before connecting the infrared LED try connecting a normal LED first this should give a visual indication, see if it blinks or flashes if not try adjusting the volume until it does, then once you're happy with this connect your Infrared LED.
      I've not tried this but it's worth experimenting like this, good luck.

    I appreciate your efforts and creativity..but if you can buy a remote for just ₹40, why to waste so much time in putting this up

    You can buy a replacement remote for any TV for about $6. Why go through all this?
