Ultimately it's about your family life for the success of your children, not the country. Drugs, sex and other influences are everywhere. Without a proper stable family household there's it doesn't matter where you live. Also, if you have a stable household it's up to you to supplement your child's education and ethics. Whether you have servants or none, narcissism will exist if you don't raise them holistically regardless where on the world you are. Good discussion overall!

I agree with a lot of what you have voiced. The public schools creditability also depends on the neighborhood is what I observed. But that is another catch you really don't have too many choices with homes where there is a higher rated public school. Secondly, like in our case my children moved to Canada when they were in 11 and 6 std, so they had a field day in academics. On the hind sight my younger son found grade 6 and 7 boring and not challenging enough. However the volunteering and sports is a very positive side to schools here. No doubt the culture, the extra time on hand because of low academic pressure as compared to back home children have a lot of spare time and it's difficult to keep them productively busy especially in winters.
Having said that it's a personal choice for everyone but if you are looking for a curriculum like back home then schools are way too easy here. Personally, as we are used to the Indian private school curriculum my son wants to continue high school in India and come back for post secondary as that is where the pressure comes in and they are better equipped at handling it then.
As for drugs and an independent mindset, I agree there too. However, as parents looking at the fast pace of the growing evils in society, we have to keep a close watch on our children be it Canada or India and have an open and friendly atmosphere at home for a healthy two way communication.
It is not a perfect world, but since I have experienced both the countries if you feel your child has the ability to go through the academic rigor in India then I will pick that and then move for post secondary..However the biggest hitch here is the fees for post secondary. An international student pays around 6 times the fees as compared to a PR. So it's again a tough call .

All the points you have mentioned clearly states the lack of attention on children and those parents should learn to spare some time on their children rather becoming a money making machine, n Indian education is a pressure cooker process imposing everything on the child is definitely not a good strategy that's why the suicide rate of students in India is so high
Rather blaming the country parents should learn how to become parents.

You have no idea why the parents are busy. To support a family in Canada both parents should be working and there is no help at home. All domestic work has to be done by parents - they have to drop off and pickup their children, manage their finances, do all the household stuff and the office work - it is not an easy life and - so that is why they don't have time to pay attention to their kids like in India. It is not about earning money to become wealthy - it is about earning money to survive in this country.

We applied for PR. Got invitation for my family within 10 months. Landed in GTA in 2016. Stayed there for a one month vacation became PRs. Observed many things and spoken to many of my friends while I was there. Situation was pathetic in a nutshell. Went back to continue my job in Middle East.
For 3 4 years I thought about what should we do. Should we move or not.
Ultimately decided to let go the PR status & not Waste my savings on this PONZY scheme.
Still working in Middle East and in Europe, family shifted back to India purchased a premium apartment a nice car. With our foreign savings I can easily retire in India - I'm still 39!

What I observed is the kids growing up in developed areas lack emotional intelligance. May be I am wrong but kids who grew up in village have steel nerves, emotionally very stable, well mannered. What Indians think of as poor education in Canadian schools is actually lack of competition. We Indians are so used to competition in our lives that it is hard to digest our kids having an easy life in Canada. Although Canadian schools are not easy either ( but unlike India, academic success is not very glorified here). This is the only wrong thing in Canadian schools. But in a way, it is not bad either because society wants everyone to live a respectable life. Competition is good to some extent as it improves you but extreme competition like it is in India is also really bad for the child

Do you know the cost of going to an International school in Delhi is ? I pay ₹ 24k each month which translates to ~ CAD 390 per month. Nothing is cheap in India, especially Delhi & Mumbai. If you are in Tier 2 & 3 cities, things get less expensive but no international school is ~ 200 CAD per month

You are comparing with canadian govt schools with Indian private schools .can you compare Canadian private school fee with Indian private schools? You have to pay 1 lac in Canadian private school and if you compare study then Canadian student of 8th class and Indian student if 5th class have same knowledge. Why don't you send your children to world class govt schools of delhi as claim by kanjriwal. They are free.

@@surindershinda1268 I don’t think I asked your advice on where I should be sending my children to school. So stuff it where the sun doesn’t shine. I never highlighted Delhi government schools as the benchmark. Did I ? They were always meant for villagers and immigrants pouring into Delhi from Tier 3 & Tier 4 towns & villages in the low income belt. Not for people of Delhi. But does that mean that in order to meet international standards of schooling, we get ripped off in the name of education? I am very satisfied by the education & the school but NOT EVERYONE IN DELHI can also afford ₹ 25 K per month school fees. And increasing each year. That clown Kejriwal has nothing to do with real people of Delhi. He is a CM of migrants & slum dwellers. My point here is regardless of that , there has to be a balance in education costs. I can afford this by god’s grace but OTHER DESERVING people cannot.

@@SW-fy8pq If you say confidently CAD 390 in Malaysia is considered cheap for education, then also highlight the take home pay in that country. It’s always income Vs spend. My point here was to bring to the fore that $ 200 per month reference shared on this video isn’t too far fetched. I am not going to speak on Malaysia as I have nothing to speak to for there, but being a Delhiite with family roots in this city, I can say responsibly that not many parents would be able to shell $ 400 per month for their kid’s education. I am not gloating about myself - the fact is if you have two kids, then how much % of Indians in India can afford $ 800 or ₹ 50 k per Month as school fees ? India is NOT cheap unless you are living in Tier 2 & 3 cities. Time to get real.

Point 1 - Independence - Being around your parents, grand parents, relatives, makes children more closer to roots. Being alone at home without parents, child become lonely and leads into other issues, as he himself said drugs etc.
    2. Opportunities in India are much more. Weather is good and best education institutions are available, if money is there.
We should ask Mr. Sahil where he did his education, to give people gyan on Canada education :)

Education has become a way of making big money from helpless parents without any accountability. And this goes pan India. Parents also love to brag about their kids' schools. I can't see how a kid can develop holistically in such an environment. In expensive schools, kids are arrogant spoilt brats. In middle class schools, kids are dying due to academic pressure. Unless you live in a trashy area in Canada, schools here are far better than those in India. At least, Government recruits very experienced teachers. Teachers are passionate about teaching. Unlike Indian schools where most of the teachers became teachers because they were US returned housewives who could speak English well and joined teaching to earn pocket money and pass time.

This is hilarious. So typically Upper caste India. Big supporters of Modi but when it comes to their future and their kids they no the way out is evacuation to the big five Christian Beef Eating countries: Australia, UK, Canada, New Zealand and the US. Thsi guy makes no mention that one of the reasons to get out of India today is because it is filled with hate for dalits, reservations and muslims. You can feel the hypocrisy of upper class upper caste India as they sing Modi's praises while filling out visa applications. Of course now you are going to say, oh but this has nothing to do with politics. It has madam and sir, people like you have allowed that monster and the RSS VHP and Hindu fundamentalists to run riot in the country. Gujarat just forgave 11 rapists who even killed a 3 year old baby. Hindu Culture of forgiveness ???. In any case nice to see you guys rounding up your loved ones for a second quit India movement while doing the Hindu thing in Christian beef eating Canada. You are complicit. Shame on all of you.

Blaming is pointing out there, rather than in here, into your own mind, when you find yourself in a painful or uncomfortable experience. Blame means shifting the responsibility for where you are onto someone or something else, rather than accepting responsibility for your role in the experience.

@@user-cc8gh6gu2m not clear what you mean. But I am assuming this has to do with trying to be a hypocrite. Lets face it Upper caste India is just desperately trying to sat in Christian beef eating Canada or the US. That is all boss. Clearly, you haven't been reading the news. The Gujarat government just released 11 rapists. 11 brahmins who raped a Muslim woman in 2002 and killed a 3 year girl by smashing her to the floor. Then they killed 7 other members of her family. That is Gujarat government for you. Then Muslims have been killed by BJP VHP and RSS vigilante groups with the false allegation that they were stealing or moving cows. There is so much hate against minorites in the Indian media these days you can get sick. Students have been thrown into jail along with human rights activists and Modi has gone bersek with violating human rights. You are living in a bubble. Shame on you. Come to India and see what is happening.

Well Indians has been flooding in Canada but sooner or later, there will be backlash from society. India is not the ideal, or best society in world due to characteristics of people there. Even China can be considered developed civilized country hence have good quality people. Hundreds of thousands of Indians come to Canada every year as students and immigrants, when Can population is only 38 million. All jobs belong to Indians, other than trade jobs which Indians don't want to do. Indians are making things difficult for every Canadian, especially in the job market, but these are not type of people whi care for others or what impact they have on society or world or on others.
