Instead of just saying she's a really good baseball player. Did They have to really bring the mlb into it , stop lying to people its not funny anymore.
They do have men's fastPitch, the world championships are in Canada for the sport. One of the fastest pitchers in men's was Ty Stofflet and he was clocked at 104.7 MPH and the pitching distance was 46 ft. Which makes the response time needed to even hit it like hitting a 115-120 mph pitch in the MLB. The reaction time is faster in Fastpitch given the shortness of the base paths as well. I wouldn't knock the sport.
It's amazing how people forget simple biology. Men and Women are different. As this little girl gets older boys her age will become stronger, faster, bigger and more athletic than she could ever be. This is nothing new, it's been going on for centuries.
For some sports yes I think the biology makes a big difference but baseball might be the one where it makes the least difference, because if you can hit a fast pitch and run, and field, I don't see why the fact that she's female should matter. If she's strong enough and capable, it could work. But if there will be opportunities for it in the next 8-10 years? Who knows
I think she would have a tough time playing any position in baseball other than pitcher as a full grown woman against full grown men but women aren’t less athletic than men, they are differently athletic. Women’s athletic gifts include better flexibility, on average a smaller/lighter body frame for higher flying gymnastic/acrobatic moves, and in some sports the usage of their better manual dexterity. You see this in gymnastics, cheerleading stunts, and pairs figure skating. We just have a culture that makes sports that showcase male physical attributes such as upper body strength, speed, and height a priority.
