They shatter like windshields, because the solar panels themselves are aluminum sandwiched inside protective tempered glass panels. A solar panel can take a lot of cosmetic and even structural damage, and still keep collecting free photons. They're so cheap now though, you may as well get some new ones and recycle the old ones if you took a baseball-sized strike. If you don't mind them only being able to last 40 years instead of 80, you can get PTFE panels instead of glass.
that's like saying protect you car with Plexiglass. This isn't normal weather even though we've made massive changes with energy usage. I don't get how people put down nuclear Energy, specially Thorium reacting. This world is all about profit and waste, no matter what industry. You'll see this soon with the EV industry. You need a grid to charge the EV, the grid is composed of wasteful materials and pollution as well.
Yeah! Fight that free power, why ever give yourself an economic advantage? We should make it illegal for mere consumers to own any capital goods whatsoever... so they can forever be the lowly fiends to their corporate drug dealer overlords! How do you even stand like that? With your boot on your own neck?
I think if i lived there I'd have steel framed heavy gauge steel mesh on a 2 or 3 inch standoff above each panel. Like how they protect windows on riot vehicles.

Austin, go figure...
Those cracked panels still work. Pull them off replace the. Coat the broken ones in polyurethane and give them to some poor people
Maybe protect the panels with plexiglass next time.

That’s not how science works bud if u we’re to do that u might as well cut the watts assumption in half because ur cutting out half the photons
Go weather! Yeah

Are they leaking cadmium telluride into the water table?
Should keep them inside
I have given free solar panels to many people who don't have power
You're going to have to stockpile a ton of them for Conservatives from now on.

What about the lead and mercury in the water table 🤔
What mercury? Stop bullshiting
@@shazzz_land sorry to bust your bubble but there is mercury in them .
I noticed you didn’t deny lead.
In the future please do your research 😉
Who would've thunk it...😒
Insurance companies.
Hate it.....
I guess desgners and engineers didn't think of everything 😊
Tesla solar panels, this probably wouldn’t happen. Much stronger from what I’ve read, just look at their solar roof.
Tesla doesn't make solar panels, they're rebranded Q cell. At best there midrange.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
The Green New Deal 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
