Hi Tommy. Sometimes I like mahogany and sometimes I like rosewood, they both bring different sounds to the table. It sounds like you are a candidate for a rosewood guitar. I do have a nice D-40R with a moonwood top in stock if you're interested
Hi Bill. I was using a Dunlop Primetone 1.0 pick. The strings are probably coated DAddario's I'm not sure if they're XT's since the EXP's have been discontinued.Thanks

What strings used here (brand, gauge, type) and what flat pick and thickness.

And the string are light gauge .012
