Great Mike!. My daughter in NZ is working in a rest home, they would invite me sometimes, to play the piano, Usually, i would play oldies song, and my! They just love it! One time, there was this old man being fed by his son. They said he was deaf, but When I started playing old song, he was tapping his feet and enjoying the music.The son was really surprised because his father was responding to the tune of old songs. Another man was crying when he heard some liberation songs( 1945 songs). It really was amusing how these old people (dementia patient)) respond to music.
I have been playing at Nursing Homes for a very long time now ( one of my Grandmothers was also a victim of Alzheimer's). Music always seems to be the last part of the memory to go...
This is amazing. He is playing all of that music by heart and he transitions from one song into another seamlessly. What talent!
