I was basically bored out of my mind yesterday and there is not any videos of Hawaii's own Lady of Love, Loyal Garner, so I just decided to put up one of my favorite songs she did.
I miss Loyal Garner. She grew up in my hometown (Hale'iwa, aka Waialua). She was kind enough to leave her comfortable Waikiki showroom and sing for our senior luau in 1979. Love this song. Homesick!
Listened to this twice already and it brings backs so many childhoold memories. I can vividly remember playing her record over and pver ans a child. Miss Garner definitely is the definition old classic Hawaiian music. Had my 5 year old daughter listen to this with me and she was like "WOW". Thank you so mucn for having her music readily availabe to take those well wortj trips down memory lane
I remember Loyal singing at the Beachcomer in 1980, in Waikiki. We would go to her Friday and Saturday night shows. She always made us feel so special and welcome, week after week. I miss her smile, although when I listen to her music, it fills me with happiness. I am truly blessed to have known such an amazing woman. Thank you Loyal for all the love you shared with so many.
