    Goggle up! Science is about to happen. Use my new What's In My Image script to simplify finding your objects. Before we were doing a lot of searching through astrometry.net, Aladin, Simbad, etc. This simplifies it all into PI.
    Link to my website to get all my scripts and repository link for PI: www.setiastro....
    Comments and Suggestions really appreciated!

    the beauty of this is that it works. I guess the joy of using this tool can be somewhat muted when most of the objects that you look up in the FOV don't show up in a search. I guess this is because I'm shooting at .27"/px?

    • @setiv2
      @setiv2  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think that is the crazy part of our hobby. There is tons of stuff in our images that just isnt cataloged. I am working on an option to open the NED website or vizier optionally when you ctrl click as another place to look for more info, but dont be surprised if there is just a lot of objects that just arent cataloged yet. • @setiv2
      @setiv2  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not right now. That is why I have the export to csv file. Then you go to Scripts->Render->Annotate and add your exported csv as a custom catalog. The PI Annotate script is amazing and that allows you to add your data from this to that

  • @DeveshPande
    @DeveshPande หลายเดือนก่อน

    • @setiv2

    And another suggestion is to draw rectangles instead of circles.

    • @setiv2
      @setiv2  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To maximize the window? I can work on something like that. There is probably a reason no other scripts have a maximize button lol. I can make it draw rectangles, in fact I started like that. BUT the issue is Simbad searches a point and a Radius. So the returned results will have points outisde of the bounding box. Because of that I switched to drawing a circle to accurately reflect what Simbad is searching.
