Your dye garden and your dye experiments are fascinating. And once again, you've achieved some interesting results.
Someone needs to make something along the lines of a chip basket (wire mesh basket that goes inside a pot when chips or French fries or whatever you call them are being made, so that all the cooked chips can be lifted out together) for dyers to enable the dyeing material to be lifted out easily, and a second version with a lid so that the dye material can be left in the solution and not end up mixed up in the things being dyed.
EDIT: Now I think about it some more, maybe a bag made out of something like net curtaining might be the way to go.

Thank you 🙏. It's been a great project and I have loved sharing it . The leaves were not a problem in the vat but I love the idea of an inner basket I am going to keep a look out for something at the "op shop" .

I’ve dyed with home grown woad. Your method is much easier than the way I did it. If you overdye wool dyed with weld with woad you get a brilliant green

I'm not sure if I will grow it again next year. I will have to see how I feel in the spring 🌱

Hi Becca! That blue yarn and the grey on the roving looks smashing together on my browser!!! Would there be any way you could make some kind of project with the yarn/fabric and roving together? Perhaps a purse or cushion? They all go together very well I think even the tan viscose. Brilliant job!

K3nclothtales talked about dyeing and the different results that you get depending on whether you’re tying to dye animal (silk and wool) or plant (cotton etc) fabrics and you can really see it with your gorgeous hank of wool compared with the scrap of cotton

Natural dyeing is very unpredictable compared to synthetic dying but that's one of the things I love about it . 🧵🧶
