Like how even the small kids have lil duties too. That's how life is like in rural Botswana too. Kids from as early as age 2 are given age appropriate tasks. They learn the value of hardwork, commitment and endurance from an early age in that way, also through emulating the adults in the family. These life skills help them to become well rounded adults who appreciate the value of working for the life you want. Instead of being lazy and have everything handed to you. ❤️

In rose case she control she situation she has control over him this is a long last marriage she knows how to handle him and him her perfect marriage
I am from the Caribbean and love Cassava. Never knew the planting process. Great to see the little boy is involved in the process!
Really, for my place is one if the best food for we from rising sun region of Nigeria, when cooked, you eat with while soup or sea food soup, wow yummy and very delicious

That insect which Rose husband asked in the last part of the video is termite Queen ( min ngwen in my local language).
Im from the same district as Rose and speak the same language, Rose pases my village( kidera) then heads to her village.
Not been home too for 3 years now, i live in virginia, hopefully i won't forget the road as Rose did 😀

I was also born from a poor family but education change my life. My family also planted this tapioca plant to replace rice sometimes cos its eazy to plant. God bless kind people like both u 🙏.

Whaat.... thats how cassava planted in Africa, so different from here in Indonesia. We stuck cassava stick to the ground not burried them, but if you stuck them upsidedown it will not grow ,the top can be seen by looking at direction round area in the body of the stick, the root grow at bottom end . And the soil need tobe plowed with hand traktor / small traktor in here we call it "edet" its not that expensive around 600 dollar, you should buy one for your parents it very useful. Plowing land with hoe are painful and take forever 😅.

@@DorothyofZion3314 I never seen farmer plant Cassava like that, in here single stem plated straight up. does it make it harder to pull because the whole stem got buried? Does it has many branches, in Indonesia we don't let it to have multiple branch, two branch maximum.

@@elieburel8620 Oui si Rose et son mari ont acheté des fournitures scolaires pour les enfants c'est qu'il y a école...C'est la période des vacances en ce moment et il va sûrement aller a l'école a la rentrée, du moins je l'espère pour lui ...Je ne dirai pas qu'il est obligé, je pense que c'est une chose naturelle d'aider les parents ou les grands parents quand tu es jeune et issue d'une famille à la campagne qui cultive pour se nourrir. Moi même enfant, j'aidais ma grand-mère à toutes les tâches de la journée; le ramassage de bois pour le feu, la cuisson du pain dans le four en terre, le ramassage et le séchage de fruits, le puisage manuel de l'eau du puit, la traite des vaches et des chèvres, les taches ménagères etc...je ne me sentais pas obligée, tout en apprenant je me sentais juste utile à ma famille, à ma communauté...😉

In the Pacific countries, we make a hole in the ground and stick the cassava/maniota cuttings horizontally into the ground and water them and leave them to grow naturally. The stalk/ stem is growing upright with the new shoots of leaves coming out from the stems when it's growing. In Africa... it's just strewn in the ground like seeds. I wonder how that grows? 🤔

Where's Anzai? This is a good learning experience for him to always appreciate things and learn traditions and hard work? If that little guy can be up early with the family and do it so can Anzai. I agree with you. Hard work is not new to Anzai, he lives in a rural community. In addtion, he is a child and he is on vacation. That little boy should go out and play but maybe he is doing it because he likes it and not because the adults told him to do so. As you can see there were no other children around. Also Uganda is not Anzai reality. He is there to spend times and to know his family and when he goes back home, he will cherish those memories.@@gutchiespencer2714
