So the cost of land is increasing above market expectations. And we now know that 50% of agricultural land in 2023 was sold to non farmers. So these sales were investments for the rich to avoid paying tax. So my question is, why aren't our government closing the loophole of these purchases instead of bashing our farmers.
Excellent to hear TFA’s strong relationship with the most senior policy makers acknowledged. This positive dialogue is paramount to ensure tenant farmers maintain profile in an environment when farmers are becoming increasingly marginalised.
Why doesn't the government introduce the right to buy scheme to tenant farmers with the same discounts as council houses? That would upset the land owning millionaires......
Just look at it Gulping whilst it talks utter shyte, a sure sign yr dishonest to the core whilst having a conversation on a subject you clearly have very little if any knowledge of at roots level ,, wonder what its proposals to devalue land prices look like so these tennant farmers get a chance even tho theyre salary is never going to be commensurate with purchase price of any farm
The standard of politicians these days is dire 😢
'Im from the government, I'm here to help'!
YIKES..TERRIFYING
The budget increases the probability of land being sold to non farmers that is the plan
Black Rock will step in, together with Monsanto - which will be dire for all of us.

Exactly. 20% is still a 50% relief, so still an attractive place squirrel away non- farming wealth

Neil, my favorite month is “May” … So many lovely flowers … mild weather … love in the air … as they say in Camelot, the lusty month of May! 🌸🌷🌼
To make land more affordable then you need to stop corporations and developers buying it so it maintains agricultural value.
We need our farmers we don't need Starmer or his government the worse our country has ever had
Do you mean black rock steping in and making offers no one can beat
Moral deterioration and lawlessness
