Hey Cole! The body turned out really nice! Also a great tutorial on the shoe goo mod. The areas that you had issues with the paint could have been just something still on the body from manufacturing that that dish soap wasn’t able to remove easily. If it was an issue with the two different paints I would have expected to see it all over the body, what do you think? Keep up the amazing work! I am looking forward to the Walter RC Park footage and more of the two blazers crawling in Maine if you still have more to post.

Thanks! I’m with you, I think there must’ve been some residue left on the body. Because nothing else would make sense. I have a ton of Walters footage left to edit! I should have some time to catch up now that soccer and marching band season is wrapping up. Nothing much left from the Maine trip. Always appreciate hearing from you!

The issue you had with the paint is a phenomenon called "orange peel" this happens when you have multiple layers on something curing at different rates and an uneven coat. Essentially the area that is thicker will have a lot more of the reducer of the paint in it and can affect the underlying layers as well.
Just means slow down and allow for more time to dry between layers and get the coats more even. If you notice it only really happened in places where you put on a heavy layer of white at the start of that phase of painting.

Alright so I’ll disregard Traxxas’ claim of 15 minute dry time next time and wait a little longer between coats. Thanks for the advice!
