In my 20s I never even gave it much of a thought, and in hindsight I was a victim myself.

    A male teacher in the 1980's sexually assaulted boys when I was in school and charges weren't brought against him until almost 10 years ago. Everyone said, "why now," he's almost 80 years old. I say it's never too late to be brought to justice. From what I've heard, some of these boys spoke out and weren't believed and the police wouldn't bring charges either because the teacher was a prominent citizen. Unexcusable!!!

      Yeah it was bad in the 80s. My brothers good friend was graped by a Catholic priest and everyone hushed him or called him a liar and forced home to be an alter boy even his own parents, my brother asked my Dad if he could help and he did he pummeled that priest and when he went to court for assault my Dad yelled the truth about who that priest really was up to. But that priest never got arrested he got moved to another state or country. Yeah the 80s were dirty! So many people hid in the dark! I hope all those who hurt children are brought to justice!

    • @sarahholland2600
      @sarahholland2600 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      In the 80's at a school of 1,500 pupils, we had 2 openly predatory teachers. One, a 36 yr old RE teacher, was careful to only pursue 16 yr olds by having them join his external religous education group. The other, the 33 yr old sports teacher would drive by my 15 yr old friends home all the time & repeatedly ask her to "go to the pictures" with him. We all just eye rolled & avoided them. Then my 6th form Headmaster moved to an all boys school shortly after I left, & was found with images of boys as young as 7 on his computer. He then married his gf of 12 yrs, got a slap on the wrist & moved to Germany & a new teaching job, like it never happened. The maths teacher at the boys school got done for exactly the same thing a year later.

But now that she is on the case and has the potential for damages paid to her, I hope she will remember these same people and not allow them to be in her sphere. When I was going through something bad, people distanced themselves from me so that they would not have to "be there" for me.... Hi G, thanks & a definite yes for following this trial to the end. I wish you were covering Gisele Pelicot in France as well. All so, so important for these predators to be named, shamed & locked up. It's also most important to send a message of solidarity and support to survivors.

    She coming forward because now she's safe! And hopefully now all the others will feel safe to come forward too. The media is so insensitive and accusatory as well. Victims need to keep strong and disregard these wolves. Their truths will be known and that's all that matters.

    My heart goes out to all of the victims and survivors. For people asking why are they just coming out now, etc. I’m a survivor of years of SA and DV…it took me 10 years to tell someone because I was so afraid of him. He’d passed away, so I finally felt safe enough. These victims and survivors are finding courage within each other to speak out, which is incredibly brave and strong of them. It isn’t easy to talk about 💜💜💜

    Gisela, I am so happy for the tasteful way this video is presented, thank you! Gloria Allred is a wonderful attorny and I am so proud of the way she handled this for Thalia! I am also very GLAD to hear Thalia will not be doing any other interviews! My heart breaks for Thalia as I understand what she is going through. I have had to deal with my own personal issues since 1977, all by myself and never had anyone to guide me towards healing. I did find EMDR that helped me heal tremendously. I do hope Thalia and others can find EMDR because it really works! As far as anyone asking "why now"? Now we have executive orders in place for victims to come forward and be heard w/o "not being believed." As far as Hart selling his homes.. I would imagine ALL of his assets have been seized and sold, not by himself but, by the judicial system due to these same EO's in place now.
    On a side note, I feel so bad for Mila in the WW case since she is being pushed to keep exposing herself ( Unlike Thalia ) and it has been said there is a contract signed with Net flix.. I shudder to think about this on Mila's behalf. I watched one interview, recently, and it made me cry for Mila.. I was so mad at those involved in that interview.
    Thank you for always using better judgement in releasing your videos. The love here in the chat with your subscribers gives me my faith in humanity back.
    To ALL of the Grizzly's out there, you are so kind, so thoughtful and caring, and best of all..... you rock!

    I’m so glad you are covering this G! Your research and the videos you show are less heavily edited than others. I appreciate your deep diving cases like this. This man is accused of horrific crimes that he got away with for years due to his wealth. Check out his interview with Justin Bieber in which he pressures the teenage boy into hanging out with him. The boy seems so uncomfortable! This man was so dangerous and a true predator to all! His trial probably won’t happen for 2-3 years. But at least this man is locked up until then. There are recordings of P. Diddy calling people and attempting to blackmail them into staying quiet about these charges.
