Lovely recipe and instructions, buns and cinnamon buns turned out beautiful. For a wee different Spice I sprinkled Cardamom as well in the Cinnamon buns. Thank you for Sharing👍🏾
I made cheese last week and I am whey over my head too. Lol. Waffles and bread and I did make pumpkin cinnamon buns and they were so amazing!! I also made whey Carmel that became fudge. And delicious!! I am a whey believer now. Your recipe is spot on to mine. Great video.
I am so glad you make all those things with the whey, it seems so wasteful to me to just dump it, esp since we didnt have the pigs to eat it. Besides I think it makes everything taste yummier :-) Pumpkin cinnamon buns sounds delicious!
@@connerty_meadows_farm I am ashamed to say many years ago I poured it down the drain. I didn’t know how healthy and useful Whey is. I am glad I know better now. Teaching the younger generation this amazing source of protein is important now.
@@CaliDawn life is all about learning and then teaching. It is really good for your septic too! When I really get over loaded the pigs get to enjoy it.
@@connerty_meadows_farm wow. I didn’t know how it was good for septic. And living in the woods that’s a bonus. Thanks for sharing that info. Blessings to you. 🎁
I just found your videos and am so impressed I had to subscribe, I like the way you explain every step and you dont waste time with a lot of unnecessary talking
Blessings, first time tunned into your channel! Love your bread making technics! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.Warm wishes from Trujillo Alto,Puerto Rico 🇵🇷🌴🇵🇷
Thank you for this …you worked so hard ! I am about to make ricotta cheese for the first time and didn’t want any waste . You have inspired me and the rise in the bread was amazing! Take care , Ruth
@@emmahope6370 Yeah I dont think it would work as well with ricotta as the vinegar would cause the yeast to not rise properly. Generally we use the whey after chedar and gouda
You can also use your whey to ferment chicken and pig food and dilute it a bit and pour it on acid loving plants like blueberries. But the tastiest things to do are bake with it 😉
Loved watching you kneading the bread. It’s so exhausting. What’s the proportion of brown sugar n cinnamon, used for the cinnamon rolls??? Is it equal??? Please share. Thanks. Your family is so lucky to have such a hard working mom. Stay blessed 🙏
I’ll be completely honest, I “wing” it 🫣. There’s a lot more brown sugar though. Cinnimon is just a sprinkle on top. I always taste the combo to see if it’s ok. Too much cinnamon can be overpowering, so less is better then to much.
Hi thank you how use the whey, usually I put in to the sink. This is very good tips. This is the first video I watch from you. Please bring more this kind of video good luck and stay safe
There’s just four of us but I freeze a lot of stuff. The waffles are great for the kids to pull out and microwave for breakfast. One try of the cinnamon buns got eaten quickly. The other was put in the freezer. The bread gets cut up and put in the freezer and pulled out as needed. I always try to bake in bulk so it’s one big day in the kitchen and then I get a break for awhile.
Very Talented! Is there any way to make it gluten free? If so how much gluten free flour, xanthan gum or baking soda to be added. Cannot eat wheat, dairy or egg whites. Thank you!
I’m sorry I don’t know how to make these things without flour. And whey is dairy as it is the liquid left over after making cheese with milk so I think, unfortunately, you would need to find a whole other recipe. Best of luck to you
I have questions 😊 I've recently gotten connected with a raw milk supplier! I made soft cheese which called for white vinegar in process. Can I use this whey in bread making ? I feel that the vinegar would be counter active to the yeast?? I'm researching my recipes but none have made a distinction. I know that hard cheeses are made using rennet. And that whey is called 'sweet whey. ' If you can clarify a bit that would be great! Certainly enjoying your channel and find your demonstration methods very helpful!
Yes using the vinegar whey would not work. I should have clarified that. We had made cheddar using rennet and the whey we are using in the video is from that cheese.
I am trying your bread recipe now. I am using bread flour and I thin that may make a difference. I followed the recipe exactly as you described but my dough is pretty stiff. I am still going to finish so we'll see. Does the flour matter?
Here in Canada we only have all purpose flour so that’s all I can compare it against unfortunately. I would think bread flour would be the right one to use though. Sometimes you don’t need to add that last whole cup. You just have to play with it to see. I find if I over flour it kneading it more helps.
@@connerty_meadows_farm I used all five cups and it was too much. The bread still had really good flavor but it was dense. It makes great toast. Next time I will use 4, maybe 4 1/4 cups flour for lighter bread. Still yummy though. Had fresh homemade butter with it. It was so good.
First a round of applause for all of those breads you showed in the beginning!!
Thank you. They were very delicious :-) No whey went to waste here :-)

Thanks! I’ll have to try that spice. Sounds delicious!
Loved the wave from your daughter! Beautiful bread! Thanks for sharing! I have whey to use up!
It's so good! You will love it! I pretty much use whey in all my baking now if it calls for any kind of liquid.
Thank you for the inspiration!
Yes, I am glad she waved.

Wow, thank you. Much appreciated.
Just made this recipe doubled it wowzers the best 🥰

Excellent! It does go by feel that’s for sure. You get the hang of what feels right after a time. So glad you enjoyed it regardless
Do you ever freeze the dough for later? Or make the rolls and freeze those to bake later? Thanks
No I have not frozen the dough but I do freeze the stuff after baking
How much does this recipe make? Maybe 1 loaf and a pan of buns, etc. Just wandering what pans to have prepared. Great channel. Love your content.
The original recipe (not tripled or 4xs like I do) will do 2-3 loaves or pans depending on your pan size and how big you make your loaves
Is it possible to use yogurt whey for bread making?
Most definitely! Any whey will work
Holy hell! You would totally kick a$$ in an arm wrestling contest.
Lol yup takes some good arm muscles to knead bread!
looks great! That was a lot of dough!
Yeah it was a lot, I did that much dough three days back to back, it was a good work out..lol
Can you use why from yogurt or only cheese
Any whey will work. I just use it from cheese as it’s what I make the most of
Thank you, you beautiful
