The islands are situated on the River Muc, a beautiful and pristine river that would provide drinking water for the animals who live there. Es una lástima que exista una barrera lingüística y que las traducciones sean imperfectas, porque Ngoc ha hecho un muy buen trabajo explicándonos las cosas a lo largo del camino. Desde el principio, Ngoc nos dijo que haría falta mucha suerte para encontrar a Kaka allí y ¡¡¡tiene toda la razón!!! La isla es relativamente grande y extensa y la mayor parte de ella es intransitable. Ngoc incluso nos mostró un mapa. Sería imposible cubrir toda la isla en unas pocas horas y la tarea se hace aún más difícil por el hecho de que la mayor parte de la isla está intacta, espesa, llena e inaccesible. This place looked like forest or jungle, onething there got no fruit and no pond with water.
Ngoc told us following his initial visit to the island that the island has ample natural foods. We need to remember that Kaka was acclimated to eating natural foods before she was released. In nature pigtails eat natural fruits, but they also eat leaves, buds and stems. They enjoy insects like caterpillars and river crabs. Es una lástima que exista una barrera lingüística y que las traducciones sean imperfectas, porque Ngoc ha hecho un muy buen trabajo explicándonos las cosas a lo largo del camino. Desde el principio, Ngoc nos dijo que haría falta mucha suerte para encontrar a Kaka allí y ¡¡¡tiene toda la razón!!! La isla es relativamente grande y extensa y la mayor parte de ella es intransitable. Ngoc incluso nos mostró un mapa. Sería imposible cubrir toda la isla en unas pocas horas y la tarea se hace aún más difícil por el hecho de que la mayor parte de la isla está intacta, espesa, llena e inaccesible. Ngoc se ve obligada a buscarla a lo largo de los "caminos" parcialmente despejados con la esperanza de encontrarla en esa ruta. Los monos no son estáticos, se mueven y recorren hasta casi dos millas al día para buscar y comer. Pigtails pasa la mayor parte del tiempo en lo alto de los árboles, podría estar en cualquier parte dentro de esa espesa área natural intacta y podrían necesitarse muchos viajes para encontrarla en esas condiciones. Lo mejor que podemos hacer es apoyarlo pacientemente cada semana cuando sale a buscar.
