Sorry to burst your bubble, but they actually are. It's called stage makeup do that they can look good under the lighting. Btw lip tints are a must these days and no lip tints don't have to be bright red.

I love Chinese historical dramas!!! And every time, the elements are more accurate to the dynasties. Ofc ther are some holes but just appreciate the work, it’s not easy. I love to see, Chinese cultures, elements, traditions, clothing, head ware, traditional Chinese hairstyles, housings, etc. especially the fan in traditional Chinese culture in marriage where they use it to cover their face and more. And only in Chinese culture they use it and has deep meanings to it. Chinese culture is so fascinating and cool!!!
