Hey all you New Travellers, this is one of my final videos in Costa Rica. After that I hit the road again and do some backpacking through central america. Thank you all for following the Costa Rica videos, it's been an unforgettable 3 months. I'll miss Manuel Antonio a lot! And all your support has been incredible.... Pura Vida! 🇨🇷
I was there in 1981 and don't recall any town at Manuel Antonio but a dirt road from Quepos that led up to the beach there. Quepos was really hot and very small and was a plane ride from San Jose on an old second world war relic. A bus was available from the landing strip outside Quepos to the town. Very friendly folks all around Quepos and a few international tourists but don't recall any other Americans.I rented a room in Quepos for a dollar a day with shared restroom.
I'm visiting this area soon and was looking for a guide and this is perfect! I love your style of videos! I will defiantly be checking out the restaurants you mentioned. Thank you!!
I'm glad you addressed the tourists who like to complain about the $16 park entrance fee. You're exactly right. One would be hard-pressed to even find a zoo in the U.S. where one could get away with paying less than $16...and the wildlife isn't even in its natural habitat. I haven't been to Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio yet, but I'm very confident that when I finally make it there, I'll be amazed by all the wildlife and the beautiful beaches. And the fact that tourists have to pay more than Ticos? So what! The most popular national park in the country needs to generate adequate funds for maintenance and I'll be happy to pay that AND more for a local guide to both enrich my experience AND support the economía Costarricense!
I love your videos! Very informative with real footage. A lot of travel videos these days seem too commercialized or seem too much into production quality rather than providing a real experience. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Have you been to Mar Luna restaurant? We had a great dinner there. My brother owns a house up at the top of the little road across the street. Infinity pool, totally private behind a gate with only a housekeeper’s home on the property. Can’t see any other houses from the property, but you overlook the palm plantation below and can see Manuel Antonio National Park and the ocean. Incredible sunsets, yes!!! Spent two weeks there on our honeymoon. Cafe Milagro was in Queens then... did they move? (Vid says it’s in Manuel Antonio...) We loved the area and can’t wait to go back!
Thank You for Sharing your Experience .... will go to Quepos on Sunday and was really nervous what to expect .... now I have an Idea and that really helped ....
Loved this guide Dan, we'll definitely use your lists of restaurants when we go there. It seems like you're becoming more and more comfortable in Costa Rica. The sunset there look stunning! what a gorgeous place to live in!
Came across your videos. Very informative. I'm planning on visiting Costa Rica In December and looking for somewhere to stay like a beach town with a city vibe. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for the great video! I’m planning on taking my family to Manuel Antonio for a couple months while I work remotely. We’re looking for nature, animals, hiking and an authentic laid back feel. Would you recommend any other spots in Costa Rica?
Thanks for vid. Please keep up with the prices. Most vids are 3 to 5 years old and don’t give pricing. Great help. Also talk about how bad insects are would help. Also rent where you go. So much more help for people wanting to go there. Thanks man
