- Hello everyone !
Today I returned to a small neighborhood, the cleaning location is near 2 kindergartens so people are very busy in the afternoon. We want to clean this area completely so that children have a clean environment every time they go to school. While resting, a garbage collector passed by and asked us what company we belonged to and why we hadn't cleaned it for a long time. I replied that we volunteered to clean the sidewalks for free, they burst out laughing and said we were crazy, the city has to spend the budget to hire cleaners, if they don't clean it then just leave it like that, why do you guys do this hard work for free. I replied that if we leave the grass and trash like that, the neighborhood will be flooded with garbage in the near future, so we volunteered to clean it to spread all the good things to everyone to join hands to keep the streets and sidewalks clean. When they heard that, they just laughed and left. It depends on each person's perception, so we cannot blame anyone, as long as what we do is right and helps the community is good.
As usual, we cleared the grass, sorted inorganic waste into trash cans, then dumped the grass and organic waste into the wasteland to let them decompose. I don't put grass in the trash because it will overload and cause difficulties for trash collectors. We can only contribute a small part to help the community. My wish is to soon save enough money to buy more tools and machines that can help work faster, to clean more places.

I congratulate the boys for this wonderful cleaning job they did on this sidewalk. Don't give up, keep going. Don't be sad about the collector's mocking criticism, he really doesn't know anything. Why doesn't everyone in this country do as you do and try to keep the streets of their homes clean and organize a cleaning effort among the neighbors on the street. It would greatly reduce dirt, garbage, weeds, snakes, rats, etc.

Mas veja o País e cidade deles na Ásia, esta muito fora de controle as limpezas de terrenos, calçadas, rios etc os poderes públicos não conseguem mais fazer nada pra melhorar isto... Somente a população toda se organizando pra melhorar esta sujeira toda.. veja em todas ruas onde eles fazem o serviços todas calçadas dos 2 lados das ruas e as propriedades são cheias de lixo e mato em tudo. Talvez seja cultural acumular sujeira mato e lixo no País deles.

we have some papers in some suburbs where there has been a special budget allocation but normally our sidewalks or footpaths in Australia are asphalt or concrete.

I really hope you can get some good tools soon! My personal recommendation would be to get a multi-tool that has interchangeable attachments; I find an Oregon three tooth mulching blade (the 4mm one) will get through almost any scrub with stems up to 2cm thick. A circular saw blade attachment would get through thicker stems. The mulching blade leaves nothing but mulch behind. It would go through all the scrubby areas next to the pavers and leave them looking neat and tidy.
A mulcher or mulcher attachment would be good and also mean more of the prunings could actually be left on the site.
