    Please don’t use the winners as the thumbnail. Not everyone can watch it live, and it’s more enjoyable to watch when you don’t already know who won. Otherwise, thank you for posting these games.

      I agree, and was going to get on and post the same thing. As I did not end up watching either of the women or mens finals due to this. I’m sure if you are familiar with the AVP, it might not have been as obvious, but definitely a bummer!

      Absolutely. I tried to con myself saying maybe it was the losers’ interview but didn’t even believe myself. That was a poor choice.

      Agreed! Same concept with the length of the video. Short is 2 sets. Long vid went to a third. Takes the nail biting out of watching if you can’t catch it live.

    Putting the people who won as the thumbnail is not ideal! Otherwise, great volleyball and great video!

    So basically, put Phil with any other good player and they probably win. Dude's half retired and still the best player out there.

    Ok everyone is mad about the thumbnail which is understandable, but I’m mad that I didn’t even know these two were in the finals. Like who do I follow to see when the games are and who plays them. I would’ve loved to watch the games before this but I had no clue when they started. No wonder no one watches this sport. How can we if it’s not even advertised until I find out who won the tournament

    • @joshuabrittain5919
      @joshuabrittain5919 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm pretty sure you can google the AVP tournament schedule this summer. It should also be on the AVP's website. Overall I agree with you though -- beach volleyball matches in general aren't advertised very well which is a damn shame, especially when there's a marquee matchup like this. I learned about this matchup today... on TH-cam... while scrolling through my feed.

    • @josephangelo6519
      @josephangelo6519 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joshuabrittain5919 yeah I probably could’ve but this was the first tournament I was actually invested in and I kinda assumed someone would post something before a game started. I also didn’t know they played multiple games in one day. At least I think they did, Kuz I watched the game before the semi finals and I wanted to watch that then I saw the finals already happened so I was a little upset

    It always irritates me when very tall players celebrate so passionately how good they are when they kill a ball... time to change net height rules ... Just like women play in different net size .... There should be a higher net for extremely tall people...

    Love watching Phil and he's obviously the GOAT, but what the fuck are the rest of the men's teams doing? You're losing to two retired 42 year olds that aren't training full-time. Sander/Crabb and Buddinger/Field should be embarrassed.

    • @umrobe62
      @umrobe62 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      It's no embarrassment losing to the 1 Seed, they're in that spot for a reason. It's Sander's first season, and Troy's first season playing defense, hard to expect them to beat guys who have literally decades more experience than they do.
      They're the future, but Phil and Casey aren't the past yet.

    • @yessum44
      @yessum44 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@umrobe62 Phil and Casey should be the past, but they aren’t. That’s the issue. You should be able to win back to back AVPs without playing full time

      Are Patterson and Dalhausser jumping less high than they used to? Hitting less hard? Passing worse? No. They haven't lost a step in their age and they have way more experience.
