The only part you left out was the AUX connection. I have a “GND” cable but I don’t see anything listed as “AUDIO GND” to connect it to.

Hello. I have bought this one carplay. But I have some trouble with the connection. I have already tried 3 methods but they are not working for me. 1) iDrive working fine on the OEM menu but if I hold the menu button the orange text "NO SIGNAL" appear and I can just back to the OEM menu. 2) The CIC doesn't start and I can't do anything. 3) The OEM menu starting so slow and iDrive doesn't work. Between all of the methods, I have disconnect the car battery for a 3-5 minutes. I have checked all wires connections and I have moved 2 green wires to new connection. PLS I really need your help. I have BMW F30 2012 with CIC with 8.8 monitor.

you can contact your seller, to ask details, maybe your model not same as us, thus, the connection also different, it need to check more details, like LVDS, DIP setting , and CAN connection you made etc. I can not offer solution from your description now.

@@HifimaxOfficial, yeah, thx for the answer. I have already contacted my seller and wait answer from him. But I decided to ask you because I have the same carplay as in this video. In my case, LVDS is the same as in OEM HU, DIP setting as in your video (in each connection variant) and CAN also connected like in your video. But it is not working( So I decided maybe you have a case like I said and you can help me with a solution.

@@manden4ik For CIC model, key steps are (1) Optical cable movement (2) LVDS connection (3) DIP setting (base on the CAN connection you chosen (4) CAN connection (that is most important part)
      (5) iDrive cable transfer(for NO.1 & NO.3 diagram).
It need seller offer great support and check these steps in Details.

Hello, maybe you can help me i have a problem with my carplay installation.
If i connect my carplay like the NO. 1 wire connection from your video, my idrive controller dont work and neither do my carplaybox (no lights, no carplay)
When i connect the wires like NO. 2 wire connection from your video, my carplay works but my idrive controller still dont work and i get the sign „can question, please check as follow“
Do you know where my problem could be? Is this a connection issue, that i connected something wrong or is this an wire issue that maybe the wire is broken or something

Did you moved the optical cable to new harness ? and did you set the DIP setting correctly ? it might need to check more details.

@@HifimaxOfficial yes i moved the optical cable to the new harness and i also set the correct toogle switch.
Sometimes now my display becomes red sometimes it normally show my oem menu but i still cant move the idrive controller. Could it be that the wiring the idrive is broken?

@@HifimaxOfficial I tried connection 1, there comes the red screen sometimes and sometimes it shows my oem menu but i cant move the idrive controller
with connection 2, the carplay menu starts but i get the sign that the connection is not correct=wrong, the only method left is the third connection, do you think that that is the correct connection for my car?

@@argjendkurtaj896 You have to try , no one can tell which diagram will fit a detailed car model, since the configuration might be different for different car types, that is why we offer 3 digrams. When you using the NO.3 diagram, after connect the cables, please notice to restart the car, meaning power off the car, lock the door (so that to cut off the power), then wait about 2 mintues, open the door and power on again, so that reboot the car CAN system. Notice, the NO.3 have different DIP setting.

What's the difference between the new blue MMI and the older black box MMI?

    • @HifimaxOfficial
      @HifimaxOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

The software and power harness is different, the new Blue MMI have re-design the power harness, so the installation because easier.
