Here is our new original sacred themed medley, "Viriliter Agite." We hope you enjoy it:)
This song is meant to get at the heart of what it means to "act manfully" as it is described in St. Paul's letter to the Corinthians. It is also to depict the spiritual journey of the soul through the three ages of the interior life as described by many Catholic theologians: 1) the purgative way, 2) the illuminative way, and 3) the unitive way. Thus the song is broken by three passages of chant. One is the epistle of St. Peter warning us to be vigilant against evil (purgative), the second is the Te Deum, a hymn of praise as our focus shifts towards God as our end (illuminative), and the third is the In Manus Tuas, wherein we are so united to God that we can with a simple, loving gaze say, "into Your hands, I commend my spirit" (unitive).
My brother arranged the piece. My family sang it.
Please no bad language in the comments. We want this to be family friendly:)
    Lyrics:

Guys I LOVE your work. I am a young-ish Catholic priest, grew up agnostic-socialist and was so fascinated by Latin chant and gothic architecture (as of course by Tolkien, Fantasy literature etc.) as a young man that I started going to church - where they told me that Latin was outdated, pre-conciliar etc. you know the drill.
Well in the end I became a parish priest with a Gothic revival cathedral to run, and I can bring in as much Latin as possible. God always has His own ways.

When you do convert, I highly recommend finding a parish that holds Mass in Latin. It helps connect more with the Catholics of the past and around the world, and the liturgy is, the way I see it, more reverent than the vernacular Novus Ordo forms of the Mass.

Music like this has to be sung by people who really mean it, like these guys. It's all too easy for a professional choir to rattle music off, without believing a word of it! God is not honoured by that.
*That* was the reason for the Vat II reforms: if your form is right but empty, you're a hypocrite. Fumbling sincerity is better than polished ignorance.

The Liturgical Time Bombs have destroyed too much for you to still be taken seriously.

So which is worse: someone not believing in the real presence, or someone literally afraid for his life because he found a crumb in his mouth from breakfast after he just took communion?
Or again, do we really want bishops who are staunchly orthodox living lavish lifestyles at the expense of their people?
I don't think Vat II was a disaster. God is never dismayed. He is sovereign. He knows what is going on, and is allowing evil enough rope to hang itself with.

Jesus understands me when I pray in Latin. As far as I'm concerned, His cross had three sacred languages affixed to the instrument of our salvation. Latin is one of them. Latin isn't dead any more than Jesus is (He lives forever!). It has been preserved in His Church, and with any luck, shown how beautiful it is even today through this music.

There will always be disagreement between sin-cursed humans, even in the church, but so long as we confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in our heart that God has raised Him from the dead, we will be saved (Rom. 10:9). As an evangelical who was raised to think that Catholics were unbelievers stuck in a works-based system of righteousness, I am continually impressed by Clamavi de Profundis's stand for those core truths of Christianity. I look forward to the day when all the Church of Christ will be united under the same banner, and we can sing together the praise of His glorious grace.

I always seem to tear up at the end at about 9:05. Seeing that picture and… idk.
Even if I find myself worrying, not sure of what happens after death, somehow I feel like seeing this image and hearing the music makes me want to cry tears of joy, even if I still know nothing for sure.

¡Impresionante!

May God reward you for this beautiful medley!!! This combined some of my favorite scripture passages, as well as the Te Deum! Some parts reminded me of Compline and parts of the Breviarium. Wonderful job combining the purgative, illuminative, and unitive ways of the interior life and using great background images to accompany the lyrics. I hope that this inspires many souls to work manfully for the Lord, uniting their will to His Divine Will.

And just as big a question, where does our sense of good and morality originate? I'm sure I don't know the correct answer, but at times feel both are products of our "intelligence" and self-awareness. Lastly, when I say I left religion behind, I'm stating a viewpoint that due to life experiences, I find it impossible to believe in a loving, involved deity.
