I was housed with level 4 inmates as a level 2 inmate in Florida because they had no beds available in 2005. Best time I ever did. No games on that block. Been home 11 years. Never going back. It was a life changing experience for me.

Solid content. He’s right about no hands policy being a good rule for life, not just jail. This rule has helped me walk away from bar fights, coworkers, fellow students, etc. Putting the consequences in perspective really helps me drop it and walk away.

I stayed focused and envisioned the life I wanted and today I’m on my way to becoming an electrician and owning a house. I’m one of the lucky ones with a family that stands by me. Wes you should talk about the struggles of getting out and doing right. The odds are stacked against you. A c.o told me when I paroled this place is like motel 6 they’ll leave the lights on for me. Worked in jail for awhile and became fascinated with the aspects of life for inmates. I get so much value out of these videos, I'm glad to see someone taking a positive spin on things. If the school systems would have a guy like Wes talk to the kids it would change a lot of behavior issues. Hard truth about life , choices and consequences. I only spent a few nights in jail on some stupid stuff my friends done and it was enough for me to straighten up my life and get better friends.
They did a program in 78 you can Google it it's called 'beyond scared straight' they take kids to visit jail and have inmates talk to them and yell they yell at them. One kid was not strayed at all and he says it. They concluded that it didn't make a difference. But every thing is situational
The problem is than now I’m old enough to understand the lesson, I’m not stupid enough to need the lesson. But when I was young enough to need it, I was too stupid to listen.

If the school systems would have a guy like Wes talk to the kids it would change a lot of behavior issues. Hard truth about life , choices and consequences. I only spent a few nights in jail on some stupid stuff my friends done and it was enough for me to straighten up my life and get better friends.

They did a program in 78 you can Google it it's called 'beyond scared straight' they take kids to visit jail and have inmates talk to them and yell they yell at them. One kid was not strayed at all and he says it. They concluded that it didn't make a difference. But every thing is situational
