The costumes (despite gold is never my taste), the entrance choreography, the set, the cartoon animation … are all flawless and unique. The way he wrote the title of the second song on the screen (in the front of the camera lens) is just amazing, so inventive; pure genius. The first song is one from the original soundtrack of his drama. He is familiar with the content of the story and sings with feeling (like the arrangement and rhythm). The second song (found out later) was popular in the late 90s but has never heard of it till Cheng Yi sang it. (Seldom and almost never listened to Chinese singers.) He sings, not just shouting, and his body movement and dance steps are all so apt for the song. He definitely has an excellent voice.
