Here are some TV Ads for the Ford Cortina. I thought these were a good, clean design for their time. Please Like 👍 and Subscribe. Thanks for watching. 👍
Hi Mark, the MK2 Cortina ( 1966-70 ) we only had two engine choices both are cross flow OHV 1300 and 1600 in the UK you can get the 1300 , 1600 super , the 1300, 1600 De Lux , 1600 E , 1600 GT and the Lotus 1600 DOHC. available as a 2 and 4 door saloon and 5 door estate. Thanks for the video on the Australian Cortina take care
My sister bought a new 1967 White 240 manual, I was 11 and she let me drive it on the back roads. My brother bought a new 1969 grey GT same colour as your picture, damn that used to go...Thanks for more memories Mark.
Dad had a 240 4 speed he picked up 2nd hand with low klms back in the day. Remember it was the same copper colour as the first falcon gt with bone interior. I remember it being quite a styly little car.
My brother in law bought a 2 door new. I can just recall being in it once. He then traded it a few years later on HE? Hillman Hunter Royal 660. That was a sporty car and much fun on gravel roads doing donuts. Mark have you got anything on the Hillman Hunter range including the 660 and Hustler?
Walnut looks a bit flash ay 😊, I had a 2 door 440 as a young bloke ( painted steel dash), my dear old mum had the previous round tail light model in an auto which had a gt motor fitted , in some ways I liked the previous model , surprisingly mums old Corty sedan had child proof rear door locks which I thought was a bit flash for that era . The CD or squared off Cortina models as in this video did have a sportier feel to them , the drag link on the these cortina’s had nylon bushes , the earlier cortys had rubber which gave them a less direct feel.

@@Mark-u1j4p Very cool. Glad you liked it. 👍
GT was pretty special but a pity we never got the cat accessory, was that the 'real luxury'? 😅
Yes, Dr Evil is still looking for it. 😂

G'day Mark,
Another great ad, reminds me of my mate Ray who had a 440 Cortina back in 1987 it wasn't a bad car.
Cheers
Louis Kats 👍

Hi Tony. I would say 1968-70. 👍
Walnut dash better than it deserved what were they thinking.

I like the walnut dash. I reckon these are sharp looking cars for the day. Hillman Hunter copied it into the 1970’s! 🤔👍
I really like these. Very smart looking cars for the time. 👍
