Your accountant is giving you some really sound advice.Hopefully the dealer losses can be used to offset the TH-cam income. That's also why he set up at the Wizard, the rent is a business expense, and the commercial building can be a whole separate profitable business.

I can tell you never owned your own business. Losses are bad, period. A write off just affects the taxes you might have paid and can be brought forward but only 80% of the tax owed when a net loss, except when Realestate. It used to be 100% but Trump changed it in 2017.
@@batsonelectronics But the amount is all that is needed to reduce the costs and with that already saved more than was going to be spent... it is just different costs and deductions now vs private.
@@wobblysauce it depends on how much he spends and loses over the year. I imagine he will save $40-$50,000 in sales tax for purchases over the course of a year. For the new business to be worthwhile, he needs to spend and lose less than 40-50K over the course of a year, or not having the dealership would have made him more money. So the cost of rent, phone, extra accountant costs, etc times 12, plus whatever money he makes or losses, all needs to be 50K or less. If he losses a total of $15k with rent, phone, car sales losses, etc at the end, then he would have actually made around 35K over not having the business since his actual cash outlay would be less than if he didn't have the dealership. He is already a business now on TH-cam, he just added a second one with the dealership. I currently have 2 businesses myself and have been self employed for 30 years.
These Suzuki Lianas had either a 1.3 (90HP) or a 1.6 (105HP) engine in Europe. Now with that engine you see why those laps in TG were a real challenge. 🙂
The 2.3 makes a world of a difference especially if it has the manual transmission. I had a friend who got about 500 horsepower out of the 2.3 engine, thing was insane.
I've never understood why Americans need such big engines in tiny econoboxes. What are you planning to do with your 2.3 litre engine in your small Japanese hatchback? I can understand having a faster sport model but to have it as standard just seems weird.

Tyler....the Top gear one most certainly didn't have that engine...the UK on had a Tiny 1.2 4 cylinder engine. My dad had the exact model from top gear same colour as well... It wouldn't pull the skin off a coustard 🤣🤣🤣

Well, you're right, it was a smaller engine. A 1.5 litre 103 bhp to be exact.
My dealership loses about $40k a year to offset my $300k youtube revenue. It works out great!
We just started watching “Car Issues” and just love it so far. My father and I retired from the car business, he was tired of dealing with the ongoing hassles of manufacturers and my self due to Parkinson’s. We do miss it though, however your show and Wayne Caring’s show gets us by. Not to mention we are total old Top Gear/Grand Tour zealots, LOL!😂Wishing you much success sir.🙏🏻

My Grandfather had an Aerio SX back around when they were new. He loved that car and I enjoyed spending time with him. Every time I see one it puts a smile on my face

I actually have a 2005 Aerio sedan in the same blue color of the Top Gear car. It was my drive to work car for many years. I always got about 25 miles to the gallon in mostly city driving for my 16 to 18 round trip commute. It is a surprisingly powerful and fun car to drive. Mine has the 5 speed, so it is actually more fun to drive than my automatic Eclipse.

If the shift shaft seal doesn’t fit you need a shift shaft shimmy. You do need to wiggle it in between the shift shaft and the shift shaft seal. It’s called the shift shaft shimmy shake.
In 86 I bought a Chevy Sprint, actually made by Suzuki. Drove it wide open for 5 years 120k miles, all it could take. At least you can lift the motor out without a hoist

Next time Wizard needs to haggle on the bill... :) He goes into detail which you speed up/fast forward.. Conclusion you can pay anything above the bill cost as a thank you for being nice to your cars... (well most of them) :)

We did get the areio on Suzuki's in the uk, it was an aerodynamic option with lots of bodykit thrown at it. Sx4s had this option
Sell the Stuperbird! Buy a 22' Donzi Classic 2+3. The most beautiful boat ever made. Very simple and handles and rides smooth as silk. A variety of power options are available. The most common one being a basic 454 GM 7.4. You will NOT be sorry. Red with white top. The Ferrari/ Benz of the sport boat world. Can be found reasonably priced. Perfect lake boat or bay boat.

no having to pay tax or reg makes it worth it. we have the same rules here for licensing PIA but worthwhile for what you do
Hoovie, not sure if you'll see this but if you need a phone number just for your business but just need to forward it, you should look into some voip trunk providers that will let you have a phone number in an area code and with just a few bucks a month it will let you forward all calls to either a phone system or any number you choose. I don't know how many calls you expect to have on that number but if it's relatively low then it really shouldn't cost all that much.

So if someone in the US (or maybe just Kansas) already has a Commercial property like The Wizard would it be a decent business to sublet Car Guys "dealership" businesses? Like I'm guessing the biggest expense for him is paying for a Phoneline to be installed for each one since it'd take time to install but it's not like these inspectors are taking photos of the "Office" so presumably multiple Dealersips can share this "Office space" you have then run up some signage overall. You could start to collect "dealerships" have them pay rent maybe include even include management if you want to go that far and make reliable money on the side.
BETTER! Dealership clogs will be better than that shop you bought Tyler… good luck.

11:15 replace the valve cover gasket and the oil pan gasket and then weld them to the heads/block. Fixed forever. ;-)
