if you want to save a few bucks, get a 7500f instead of a 7600x. its like 30-50 dollars cheaper, has the roughly the same performance, but doesnt have integrated graphics. if integrated graphics doesnt matter to you go for the 7500f

If you want an all performance PC, here's a better parts list, for am4. A ryzen 7 5800x, a gigabyte b550 gaming x V2, an rx7600, 16 gigs of ddr4 Corsair vengence 3600 GHz ram, an nzxt h5 flow, a Corsair RM750e PSU, an nzxt Kraken 240 AIO, and whatever fans you want. This will run your cpu at a cool 56° max, you'll be fine on 1440p, and 1080p is just amazing.
P.s. I know the nzxt Kraken is something that is a different choice than you'd like but honestly it does the job really well for $120. And that budget is still under 1k

😅 wish I would’ve just watched this instead of relying on my friend for recommendations. Ended up with an i7 12700kf with an msi 3060 on a msi mag z790. Corsair 750 for psu with an sn750 tb ssd. 2x16 Corsair vengeance ram ddr5. Around 1500$ and paid my buddy 100. Would’ve been cheaper to get consulting with you or just building this.

I went full on baller and bought tons of part from second hand places, like aliexpress, cex and wallapop, and ended up with a 625ish (Under) € PC with a B650 With wifi 6E and good connectivity, ryzen 7500f cpu, rx 6600 and 32gbs of ram of 5200 mhz, P3 Plus 1tb, all while still having 4 fans of A-RGB and an artic freezer 36 A-rgb and msi psu. If ur willing to pretty much just bet everything on used hardware, u get what i've got, and this is a good jump from a gtx 1650 and a ryzen 4350 with an a320 crappy mobo and case to this beast. Easily my best W

  • @captpootis8495

Honestly this is a great build. But to say the capabilities of am4 for budget. For $830 ($904 after shipping and taxes) I built a pc with a r5 5600 and a rx6800. I play in 1440p and it’s a blast. Most games I’m running in high or max settings and I don’t have a single worry about vram saying it comes with 16gbs. Is it a good buy? I’d say it’s pretty high up there for the fact that I could upgrade to a 5800x3d, which is a monster of a cpu, and depending on the GPU and resolution, it should run without much of a hiccup. Ddr4 isn’t that slow, in fact it’s not that much of a deal breaker because for gaming it’s not that dependent on ram speed. Sure you might gain “some” fps but not enough to really make it worthwhile. I’d value the amount of ram rather then comparing ddr4 or ddr5. Especially since having good speed with a low cache latency is all that’s really important when picking good ram. Great build but not ultra budget. But your build here is much better for future proofing. I took that into account but I’m still a little “future proof” because of the 5800x3d’s existence. (Because it’s faster than all of the base 7000 CPUs. Might even be faster then base 9000 saying that they’re only 1-3% faster then 7000.)(I’d only be really missing out on the 7000, 9000, and beyond x3d chips. But for my needs. By the time I’d wanna upgrade, am5 will most likely be extinct. Because of the 5800x3d being the heavy weight champion it is.)
Also something to note (yes I’m commenting as I’m watching, don’t judge me) having an ssd with a dram controller is insanely better than a cheaper ssd. Kravv and Kingston have some reasonably priced nvme gen4 with dram controllers that for almost any build over $800 I’d recommend. They can make your life significantly better, do I exactly know why they’re faster? No, but in my own testing comparing nvme’s with similar speeds (one with a dram controller and one without) on end is faster and better for gaming (I’ve never testing for workstation applications, I don’t really do that stuff henceforth my build choices) but they are faster on end and with a ddr4 build because easy to throw in.

Definitely smokes the 7700xt or a 4060ti. I think if he upgrades to the 5800x3d at some point he'll be set for a few years.

I love the stealth look these kinds of builds have, looks like it's ready to attack! Even though I have a white themed PC build with RGB I love seeing all black pc's with an all black motherboard, ram and CPU cooler without extensions or ketchup/mustard cables it looks so sleek. And for pure gaming performance I would still advice people just getting the highest possible clock speed on DDR4, when DDR4 came out DDR3 was still being used for a long time and IS still being used till this day so it's not going anywhere soon. I actually upgraded my ddr4 16gb 3200mhz kit 2 days ago to 32gb 3600mhz and am satisfied, not only does it cost way less money but it's still plenty fast. I see DDR5 as a luxury at the moment and not as a necessity. Do make sure to get 32gb's instead of 16 if u can tho definitely.
