i have the ryzen 7 6800hs with the rx6700s. i run direct x 12 high preset on 120 fps, and battle royal it drops no more 30 fps. My issue is when i use performance mod, and when i lower my screen resolution. i gain only 50 fps in creative, thats all. I gained 50 fps from lower i screen resolution from 2560 x 1600 to 1920 x 1080 and switching from directX12 to performance mod.
I think i found the problem. I was running fortnite in silent mode on armoury crate, i chenged it to turbo mode and it increased the fps. It's my first gaming laptop and i'm discovering all this things lol

The same happens to me, I can't get more than 100 fps in the worst graphic settings possible. I assume the game is runing on the integrated gpu.
check fornite might be running on the integrated gpu instead of the dedicated one

I always make sure to turn on the turbo mode before gaming, so that's not my issue. Thanks!

isnt running unlimited fps all the time bad for the pc
Not really...but you can have it capped...I just it on unlimited to show max fps.
