In other games ISD terminate members who have done something bad in the facility (such as breaching) but that wouldn’t exactly explain why they had to terminate the ISD unless the ISD terminated the MTF operative for no reason
@@Somebody0960 it was because the MTF saw the "primordial" or something, which was classified to SC-4, so the MTF got promptly terminated, ISD refused to reason with MTF over why it was done, leading to them warring against eachother.

"ISD" stands for Internal Security Department, it's the Foundation's department made specifically for handling internal and external leaks about the Foundation. Basically, they're job is to make sure the Foundation doesn't become discovered by the general public. #nerdmoment

ISD make sure everyone follows the rules, they could’ve had a good reason to terminate the MTF, we don’t know
