I remember hearing him for the first time on American Idol. He has an amazing powerful voice with lots of soul. One of the best performers of our time :) Saw him n NY a few years ago. He opened for another of my favorite male vocalists, Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. A blow out show, awesome pair. Be safe
He wasn't underrated at all during this time. If anything, he was a little overplayed (not that there was anything wrong with him, they do that with every song) probably the most played artist during this era but any time I think of my drives to my old job and college in 2007, I think of Daughtry because they played him so many times. My friend died a year ago and this song played and it made me remember his goodness and how he was so inspirational to so many people .
My wife,sons and I have seen Shinedown at least 3 times all together and 6 or 7 times randomly. We never tire from Shinedown

Wow where have I been. I just really found this guy last night. I agree with Jerry Bordadora and more, this guy is the real thing. He may not have that all American good looks that seem to be the main stream idea of a singer, but what he has in his heart and in his vocals is way more beautiful then cometic looks. Just a very powerful, soulful singer. He makes it look so easy, and his vocals are so easy to understand and sing to. Right on!!!!!!!!!!
