I had same problem on DCP-T710W. Almost 1 week but worked at night for it. I kept on thinking and checking on why it kept on having "print unable 48". I saw dirts near ink path of the printer head. Now the "print unable 48" is gone. If your inkbox error appear, you check on google on how to reset that. Have a nice day.
Sesuai dengan judul diatas, kasus pertama yang saya alami di printer DCP_J100, disebabkan oleh karena kabel fleksibel headprint yang tertekuk saat headprint bergerak ke kanan dan ke kiri karena pelatakan/pemasangan kabel fleksibel headprint yang salah.

The strip encoder of my printer was dirty by ink and I tried to removed but the color of ink still on it ,is that effect and cause " unable to init error 48" Thanks a lot.

Al del cabezal? Tambien al del láser?
Tengo el mismo problema de hecho desconecte todo y funciono, pero ala tercera impresión apareció el mismo error.
