I've played it for a while now and to be honest I've been quite lucky on it I first won a simplex plus

Well having had a little play it seems a good bit of entertainment to me, I even found gold so got to practice my dance😂. As for paying a little to get more game time I really don't see a problem with that, pretty standard these days. There is clearly a lot of development time that has gone into the game so I hope it's a great success and is enjoyed by those who choose to play.... Now where's that hammered coin goin to be hiding?? 😊

Why are people having issues with this? I have played app games for as long as I have had a smart phone and never spent a cent on in-game purchases. My girls play games daily and so does my wife (and even my 82 year old mother-in-law). If people want to pay for things to to quicker then that is up to the individual but you are definitely not required to make purchases in most games that I have played. It may take you a bit longer to reach certain levels but that is all. I actually thought it was fun to read that there is a game about metal detecting. I had no idea and will definitely download it. Those who don’t like the idea should just refrain from downloading it.

That game definitely advocates not filling your holes in 😂😂😂😂😂 Been speaking to Tom about this game this week actually, but watching this, it is not for me. If and when I do get any time to play games I'd rather jump on the xbox n drop in some PUBG 🤙

How do you know if you win a prize? Also, with regards to gambling, we often pay money to go on digs and a part of us hopes to find something nice, so could you call that gambling? If you chose to pay, then that is on you surely? However, it offers you a way to play for free!
Hi Jason, apologies for the delay in replying! There is a leaderboard alongside the game which will tell you if you're in the prizes. The website will also highlight a prize box when you have won a prize which will direct you to claim the prize. We have lots of people who like to play for free, and we have lots who pay to play! Come and give it a go!

The game isn't actually gambling. It is free to play but for an increased chance to win you can pay for extra goes. Many people have won prizes without spending a penny on the game
Ah stop of course it's gambling.And you can be sure ones cha ces of winning increases by the more Tokens or whatever you buy.You can free bets with the bookies,just enough to get your adrenaline going and then you pay to play..
You would think it was been run by a charity or something by the way DD is selling/promoting it..
At the end of the day it's a business venture for them,which will have to make money.
@@sashadog58 I was brought into the Diggers Dips team last year because I used to play Diggers Dips (this was the name before Hoard Hunter). I approached them as a consumer because I had spotted some flaws with the game from a consumer perspective and came up with some solutions to make the game better. The XP system was one of them. We also introduced a way to play days that had been missed which had been another problem with the game. The visuals were improved and we are really proud of the new website.
Many games feature in app purchases. I play a lot of Pokemon Go on my phone. This game is free to play but you are certainly advantaged if you purchase things within the game. There is no denial of this with Hoard Hunter. It will improve your chances BUT it is still possible to win without spending a penny and it does often happen. Hoard Hunter is a business and yes the core purpose of a business is to generate revenue. But we have chosen to rebrand the game to make it more fun and entertaining for everyone that plays, whether pay to play or free to play.

You're right, it is a business venture and the prizes have to be paid for by revenue generated from game pack sales. It is no different to apps such as pokemon go which utilises in app purchases to create advantage to yourself. But we have had many many players win prizes without paying for a single game. It happens often. We have also increased the number of prizes to 50, which now means there is even more chance to win. We don't see it as gambling and comparing to the bookies isn't the same. We limit the number of packs people can buy each week because we didn't want a situation where one person can spend a small fortune trying to finish on top. We are a team of detectorists creating a fun environment for fellow detectorists. It isn't for everyone and we don't try to force it on everyone.
I'm sorry you feel that way. This is not something I would usually do, but I wanted to support a friend and help him along a little. Yes, there are in game purchases like most games nowadays, but the game itself is absolutely free to play. 👍
