The thing I like about NRG is that they actually care about their players. When they were burned out and knew they couldnt perform they were okay with letting then go, especially when it pushed them away. They brought in new talent until they found what works and the problem wasnt them but just bad luck. I am glad they take care of their people. I dont hear the same for the others in this manner.
when this game came out, i found myself quickly in Dizzy stream. My favorite moment in Apex with all the playing I have done and people I have watched and followed. Lou, Sweet, Hal, Mande, Aceu, so many.. without a doubt, the happiest memories were watching Dizzy play and later Dizzy and Aceu play. They seriously cannot be forgotten. The skill they possessed so early in the game, the movements they evolved, strategies they explored. People forget Dizzy had 10k kills the first month of release, the dude had an heirloom and zip jumping before people knew the character names. Dizzy, the first ever signed Apex player, in twitch rivals, a week after release walked in with over 4k kills and the strategy he, ninja, and king richard employed would only work in that era of the game. They go into pubs and the goal is winning but kills were high points, so Dizzy would solo land the otherside of the map and solo destroy half the lobby to meet up with Ninja and Richard at the end and just destroy the last team. Time and time, Ninja goes down and/or Richard and Dizzy just cleans everyone with the broken ass wingman and the balloon exploit. Aceu took the skills Dizzy discovered and mastered them to a whole another level. Eventually pro scene comes, Dizzy moved on from BRs and back to his past of CS and then Valorant. Time moved on and most players today never heard of him.. who is Dizzy? The godfather of the Apex games.. the original goat.

Dizzy was definitely up there but he didn't find the movement tech so much, there were others that found out stuff and he implemented them well, he was the most well known person to put it all together but it was during a time when Apex was very easy and people quickly caught up and overtook his skillset. Aceu certainly did, unfortunately Ace and Dizzy never made a good pro team and always look out of their depth both in the macro and micro. Them 2 and Sweet could've been a good team but they never had that synergy that Sweet brings.
Dizzy still plays Apex after reimergimg as a streamer a year or two ago, though he only jumps on Apex very sporadically but has appeared in a ProAm in the past year. Unfortunately he mainly plays Roblox now... Why? I do not know.

After dizzy and aceu blew up.. that level of talent got more and more common and unappreciated unfortunately..
Its cause he doesnt stream a lot. Dont understand why some of these beloved pros in the community never streamed. Once in a lifetime opportunity to make stupid amounts of money and they just didnt take it. Sad really.(Sentinels is the biggest team that did this)

Fun Fact: The option that sweet was considering other than gild, the "very talented mnk gibby" was actually Mande, Sweet already said it, i think Mande would actually work very well with Sweet and Nafen, they are good friends and Mande is crazy if he is competing, but with today meta, a controller player is a must in almost any team. Btw if NRG strugles to get important wins in the future and maybe Nafen wants to change team, i think Mande could be a option to try.

and the truth about Aceu and Dizzy is the same that we have for players who stomp pubs nowadays, competitive is another type of game, you are facing players that maybe don't have the same mechanical quality, but this is compensated by intelligence and decision making in-game, I learned that when I supported NRG and saw it being taken away for nothing, I thought that Dizzy and Aceu were unbeatable, and when the truth hit the door I was happy, because I realized that even though I wasn't as good mechanically as both, the game still benefited the team that made the best decisions and not just those with good aim or movement.
The timing on this is hilarious.

@@JumbaGW i remeber my team being downed after an extremely intense wrestle of a team fight right out of a closing zone 4 but I had a gold bag and a gold knock. I rezed myself while they had to fight another team even after from being weakened from fighting us and they still wiped that team. But I 3rd partied and wone. I remember not feeling good about the win because the team that wiped us earned the victory while I was given a 2nd chance because of an item in the game

a lot of peeople have no idea how hard to form a championship team in any sport or game. even if you have the nastiest talent in your roster that doesnt mean shit if you guys cant get your shit together. Hal(mkb) isnt even considered to be one of the best fraggers but he would point you where you can have an advantage to win the game. aceu and dizzy duo couldve been better if they have a somewhat like hal. i think they wouldve more love for the game if shit didnt go south so early. but before the tournaments, i remember aceu kept mentioning that BR competitive is kinda ridiculous and silly so i guess he wasnt really into it.
Yea the early days of Apex was so tough I'm surprised sometimes the scene was able to survive and grow to where it is today. I could never blame Aceu or Dizzy for wanting to just stream instead of compete.
