- After more than a year trying on this Tissot Seastar watch I finally purchased it. The price was right and value for the money was excellent. My first time purchasing from Jomashop which was excellent.

Cool watch, Gary. Not too flashy for the pool, will look awesome. I've got four Tissots - two Gentleman, a Couturier (a fantastic and little-known bargain model) and a Visodate, really like the brand. Will be watching for that blue dial on your other channel.
You won’t have to wait long as it was on my wrist in the video coming out tomorrow. I should in the future show them what watch I’m wearing at the end. Thanks for watching.
Great looking watch. I have had my eye one one for awhile now.
Good choice! The bracelet is even better than my Tissot Chronograph and the powermatic 80 over the last day seems a lot better than my other watches. It’s the little things that make this watch so good for the current price as I think this model is being discontinued with the new 40mm ones that came out at the end of last year.
Sharp watch at a great price.
I like to watch. Thanks for the info I'm going to consider buying it.
I would go to a store and try one on if that is possible. In person you will know if it is what you want. Everyone taste is different.
@@GaryWatches I will thanks.
When you took the measurement for the thickness it would've also been nice to see the lug to lug measurement :)
Great video otherwise! Enjoy your new watch! The price/quality ratio is hard to beat here.
Currently torn between the new Seastar 1000 40mm and the Certina DS Action Diver 38mm
Thanks for the suggestion, I will try to include that in future videos. Certina looks like a nice watch as well.
is a very good watch for entry luxury dive watch, maybe a better bracelet and a little thiner, caramic bezel and colour is awesome!
I agree after wearing it a lot the bracelet should be improved.
I really wish Tissot would make a 39mm or a 40mm dive watch with a ceramic bezel.
Hi. I love this watch in the new green dial colour. But the date peeking is really annoying. I feel like for a 700 priced watch, how can they not see this during quality control. It then puts furyher doubts about how the rest of the watch made. Now that youve had the watch for a while, how are your thought on the peeking. I have noticed from 19 onwards is when the issue occurs
This one is still my #1 watch. The date peeking has not bothered me and I like the larger dial than the new 40mm versions. Especially since you can find this watch for sale around $530. I agree if you get into $700 maybe a Christopher Ward watch would be better.
On camera we can see the next day peeking through Gary, but I doubt it’s as noticeable in person.
I have the Tissot seastar 1000 36mm one thing I don't understand is if this is a divers watch why didn't Tissot put a divers extension bit weird.
I have the 43mm Seastar and it does have the diver extension. I know they now make a 40mm but wasn’t aware of a 36mm.
I’ve heard conflicting info on the powermatic 80. Some say it isn’t serviceable due to plastic parts, but I’ve also heard that’s just a PRX issue. I have a Hamilton and a Mido with similar power reserves, and I know it’s all swatch/ETA innards. It just makes me wonder about buying these on the gray market like Jomashop. Thoughts?
Jomashop seemed to work well for me with no issues with the watch. Saving 33 percent was why I took the chance.
Hi Gary. New subscriber here. Love your reviews .
I want to buy an everyday wear dive watch & not sure which watch to buy.
Which of these 2 would you like over the other?
Bulova Devil Diver Orange dial
Or
This Blue Seamaster Tisso?
Thanks for your help
This is an easy one even if I love them both. I would go with the Blue Seastar Tissot which looks great, 300m water resistance, and the 80 hour power reserve is something you would really appreciate. I did see they are still selling the Seastar at the around $525 price range.
I just bought this watch two days ago. Absolutely love how the watch looks and feels. But I hear a “click” sound, when I press the bezel down to the case(top right part of the watch). I’m a little worried this. Is this normal or should I get it exchanged?
Not really sure as I pressed my bezel down & didn’t hear anything. Is it the ratchet mechanism under the bezel or something loose in the movement.
@@GaryWatches the movement seems fine, it’s definitely related to the bezel mechanism. I found a post online addressing the same issue on another watch. And some people mentioned that this is normal as these diver watch bezels always have some play.
I guess I got lucky as the bezel has no play.
Beautiful watch. Looks like the quartz model is a 40 is that why you chose the automatic? other than size they look the same to me. Looks like the quartz model is also a couple hundred dollars cheaper.
The newer models are 40mm with the powermatic 80 movement but different color options. I believe they do offer quartz movements but not sure of the size.
It's a cool watch. I have the quartz version. This has the much better bezel markers (on the quartz version you lose sight of the bezel numbers).
The blue dial, how it's finished, it's quality
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. MAMACOO brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
