I heard a news story from the recent hurricane and a man had lost everything but was holding onto a Bible that had been in his family since 1873 and it was wet but still intact and he was praising God. I love older bibles and used as like your one from 1910 it has loads of history it has serviived two world wars and still looking great disipte its over 100 years ago and i love used bibles as i know a person or people have loved and used them god bless you sister in christ
Awesome looking bibles, I just received in the mail a 232 year old king James bible that was printed back in 1787, 2 years before George Washington became president, I'm actually going to give it to my pastor as a Christmas gift. I can just imagine how much history that bible has seen and been through. Except it has no writings or notes in it or anything, but regardless, a bible that old is still awesome to have.

Hamish Smith I don’t buy too many older ones but there are some Bible selling groups on Facebook that you could join and sell them there cause there are a lot of people who like the vintage Bibles.
I have a few old family Bibles. I enjoy reading what has been underlined in them. My grandmother underlined where to find unicorns in the Bible, and she had taped her mother’s obituary inside the front cover. Her mother had been a very mean woman, and my granny had always wished she had had a sweet mother. So became one.
Aw that is sad she had a mean mother but bless her heart for not becoming mean herself and for becoming a loving woman, mother and grandmother. That Bible with her underlines and the obituary of her mother’s in it is absolutely priceless!!! Those are the treasures that you cannot put a price on. Thank you so much for sharing that with me. wow the one at 8 minutes is really nice! I love Bibles - new, old, vintage LOL! they did a great job packaging - I received some that weren't wrapped tight and the covers came off in transit - just enough bumping on their fragile covers :-(
These are all super cool, I just love old Bibles, there's just something special about them. I will have to watch the video to see which one is at the 8 min mark. The person did wrap them very well and I am grateful for that. I just did an unboxing of the new 2019 Open Bible and the box had one 5" piece of tape on it is all. Thankfully it didn't get damaged. @@BibleBelievingChristian Yeah I agree. I'm fascinated by what the story is behind the owners. I picked up an old KJV Bible in our community bookstore for £1. Printed in 1910 and in very good condition with a dedication written inside dated April 10th 1914.
Pure Grace sometimes these old ones are hard to pinpoint dates on them. Some publishers had their own dating system which on some I haven’t figured out yet but there’s nothing like a vintage Bible, if only they could talk.
It helps to protect the page edges of the Bible so if you’re taking it with you back and forth the yapp somewhat covers the page edges to protect them. Gilding on the page edges protects the paper from getting dingy and dirty as well, plain white page edges over time can get dingy and look bad over time.
If love to know where you got them and for how much. Sorry for being cheeky . They are beautiful and will you read any of them because some of them look pretty nice and readable? I’m waiting on a 1895 Cambridge and a ‘67 Schofield. Thank you for sharing.🙏🕊📖🔥

Those are great finds I have a hand size self-pronouncimg Collins World old KJV Bible printed and bound in Belgium that came with whole set of The pulpit commentary by MacDonald I live in P.R. and the books are in english the person was cleaning out a house found the books I speak english so they gave it to me lucky me right the Bible has a crusty leather tape up cover I would like to get fix but really would like to know when it was printed the Bible missing a few pages from the beginning it starts with the introduction anyway good video and God bless

I run across a lot of them at half price bookstore and garage sales sometimes when a library is having a book sale to make room you can find them in there also do you have the “next-door app“ where you’re living if you do just simply ask if anybody has any old Bibles I got about 10 of Them that way

You're right, the writing inside the NT by James Moffat (4th Bible) does say 'Barnet'. It's in North London.

I think James Pott sold a lot of Cambridge Bibles, I've seen scans of a James Pott branded Cambridge Cameo Text NT+Psalms.

Do they say what year they were made?
I think some of them had a date on them and others didn't. I honestly don't recall and some of them were gifted shortly after I got them.
