Hi all, I personally think I waffle a lot in my videos 😂 , so here's a summary: - Bimmercode and Bimmerlink have similar features such as ASD. But if you code ASD off in one app, I'd stick with the same app to code it back on. - Bimmerlink is the only app that lets you code burbles off and valves closed. - Burbles will remain off even when you unplug the OBD and turn the car off. - But Valves will reset back to stock when you turn the car off. Hope that helps 🤘🏼

FYI another option is to go a multimap custom tune option (bootmod3) and disable burbles in one of the slots ;) That’s what I have but yeah more expensive. So if someone wants to stay stock tune and not mess much around ecu etc, then bummerlink is the way to go indeed!
Does the exhaust valve remain open permanently without using the app or phone again? I’ve read a lot that says it won’t make a difference unless you’re on the app.
Hi, would you know why my Bimmer link app does not even have the option for exhaust flap on display? It does not appear as an option at all. But all other options are there.
Love the M2 COMP❤️👌🏽 Debating on whether I should wait for the new M2 COMP to come out I should just go ahead and go for the M5 COMP LCI🤷🏽♂️ your thoughts on this @MRHCars ?
Another good video mate. Just to make the point there are two valves on the exhaust so at most with the valves closed two tailpipes are open instead of the four. Also I think when it is set to auto that doesn’t open dependant upon revs it is dependant upon the engine mode
Thanks mate!👊 You're right, 2 valves on the exhaust. Also you're right, AUTO depends on the engine mode. But I can also hear the valves opening and closing when I'm driving around town. So the revs must affect this too right?
@@MrHCars I will have to do more research I didn’t think they opened at different revs etc. the old e46 vacuum system worked like that though. I will have a look and see whether one is open or both under sport and sport + etc
@@mgmmotorz5004 I only say this because I can see Will's valve opening and closing when I drive behind him at night, with the headlights shining into his tailpipes. Also with ASD off and a louder exhaust, I can hear it too driving around town.
Just bought bimmer link and a obd2 mx+ Bluetooth. I’ll be hooking it up to my 2023 m3 comp xdrive tomorrow when it comes in let me know if you want to see what happens. Car is stock
@@MrHCars okay so bad news it doesn’t work on the G80. The option is there but as soon as you select it the main computer takes back control and Ignores your input. It doesn’t even fully open long enough to pull the fuse that controls the flaps lol yeah I tried. So I guess as of now the only way on the g80 is a aftermarket valve controller. Sucks
Should be perfectly fine. You're only turning features on/off already present in the car. I've never had any issues when replacing my rear tail lights under warranty. Can depend on the dealer too and whether they notice it’s not stock. If you’re unsure, I’d leave it. But never heard of other owners having warranty issues.
I asked my dealer if they could help and said no and also said this will void the warranty. I'd wait till the end of warranty, just to be on the safe side.
Hey man it would really help if you know if bimmerlink would work on 2021 BMW M340I for the burble on and off setting cause in sport mode my flap stay open completely I've heard that it doesn't but I posted a video showing mines stays open once it's in sport mode. is that a 2022 2023 problem ?
Hey dude! I can’t say for certain, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. The only way to know is to buy the app and test it, it’s relatively inexpensive
I finally did it yesterday bimmerlink for the 2021 BMW M340I Does not come with the option to turn burble on or off But it's crazy. I open the exhaust flaps on comfort mode. And the car starts popping like crazy more than it does in sport mode lol
Bimmercode has more features. But doesn’t have the sound tuning feature than bimmerlink has. Bimmercode is more for Idrive features vs bimmerlink for performance-like features
Definitely don’t code a car with the engine running. Big big risks that one. Always do it ignition on engine off. Would take ages to drain battery enough to cause an issue

Hi, if you turn ASD off in bimmerlink, will it remain off when the OBD is unplugged?

Any mention about it being a temporary solution as the car will revert to AUTO after a period of time from what I read.
Do U thin i will actually become better sound on mine x4 m40i (2020/11) with this app ?? I have some burbles but not to much. I came from Germany.
I had bmw 330e 2023, I can do this too?
So i can use this to make to make my car louder ?
Car sounds great as usual 😎
is there any issues with leaving the burbles on? i have an x7 and the exhaust tips are more inside compared to your car

2 completely different cars and complete different price ranges.
Depends whether you want a smaller nimble rwd car or a bigger switchable 4wd
Newer 2023 m2 is butt ugly I think the 2020 is beautiful 😍

I cant connect obd with bimmer link… why man ??
So if I choose valve open always and unplug the obd it will go back to auto???
yes correct. Only the burble setting is permanent

Not gonna lie, I quite like the ‘racy vibe’ valves open, burbles off. 😁
