if you were to launch and catch a drone on a sailboat, what would be the wind and boat speeds you consider doable? Have you tried dynamic home point in a similar or this application? thanks!
When hand catching my Mini 3 Pro, it lands quick and smooth like yours but with my Mavic 3 Pro it hesitates. I'll hold down on the stick and it's sits there for a bit before it'll start landing...sometimes it start landing softly like normal and suddenly it'll rapidly drop the last 6 inches into my hand. My mini 3 never does this. It's just a nice smooth landing. Do you have similar issues with your Mavic 3 pro?
Mine does this too! It's my second Mavic 3 Pro! The first one would land easily like in the video! I had to get a new one after loosing my first one in the lake! The second one is much more difficult to land in my hand pretty much like you describe! Makes it much harder to catch by hand on a moving boat!
@@briananderson6558 Im having better luck now that i switch it to 's' mode when landing. I guess its a sensor thing. I still haven't tried it on a boat with the 's' setting but i think it might work....

When you come down with the Mavic 3 Pro will the sensors allow you to get close enough? Or do you have to flip to the sport mode?

Get a bracket for your controller and a lanyard you will find it much easier too hand launch as well as hand catching it

Yes I need to update this video because I think DJI updated the drone. I grab the drone now and hold down.
